Klaus coming in for Golasa
-
Penalty for Krasnodar after they hit the post.
-
Tudor needs to throw in somebody that can create stuff on offense.
I would put in Pelkas. Move Rodrigues on the right side, Mak on the left and Klaus on top.
-
I agree. I just don't see us scoring with the current setup. Tudor needs to revamp the whole midfield/offense if we want to get a result today.
-
Difficult save by Glykos. We are toothless offensively.
-
Rodrigues needs to be slapped by Tudor for his selfishness.

Game will be streamed live on Laola1.TV

Interesting lineup.
-
Not sure. It's a separate deal for Australia.

ESPN acquires US media rights to Euro 2020, qualifiers and much-anticipated Nations League
?
ESPN has acquired the US media rights to Euro 2020 and its qualifiers, the UEFA Nations League and the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, sources have confirmed to World Soccer Talk.
ESPN outbid FOX Sports, NBC Sports and beIN SPORTS for the rights in a deal that is worth more than $110 million, according to Sports Business Daily. World Soccer Talk also understands that there was an unnamed fifth bidder that was not a traditional TV network.
What makes the acquisition by ESPN of the UEFA properties even more attractive is the inclusion of the Nations League, which is a brand-new competition from UEFA. The concept of the UEFA Nations League is to take the games that were previously friendlies played during international breaks, and turn them into competitive matches. The participating 54 European nations will be split into four divisions: Division A: Four groups of 3 teams Division B: Four groups of 3 teams Division C: Two groups of 3 teams and 2 groups of 4 teams Division D: Four groups of 4 teams The national teams will be ranked according to their UEFA coefficient ranking and slotted into the appropriate groups. The nations will play each other in a round robin format until the final four teams will be determined. Those final four will then compete in a mini-tournament to decide who will win the UEFA Nations League.
The UEFA Nations League will be held every 2 years. So soccer fans will be able to enjoy World Cup 2018, followed by the Nations League that?ll begin in 2018 and end in 2019, Euro 2020, followed by the Nations League beginning in 2020 and ending in 2021 and finishing up with World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The concept of turning what was previously considered rather meaningless friendlies into competitive matches, as well as incorporating promotion and relegation between the different groups, is genius. ESPN currently has the US media rights to Euro 2016 as well as European qualifying matches for the competition (which FOX Sports sub-licensed a portion of). According to Sports Business Daily, ESPN currently pays $16M for both English and Spanish rights to the two European Championships. Note that today?s news has nothing to do with the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. Those rights are currently held by FOX Sports in the United States.

Vitor has been ruled out for tomorrow, so will have to contend with the Costa/Malezas duo as CBs.
-
Boston's lineup is good, but as others said I don't think Kitsiou will start. Golasa might get the start as he has been quite good the last two games. I also have reservations about Mak being our lone striker. That's why I had a 4-4-2 formation. We'll see on Thursday.
Of interest is also the fact that he is not taking Antonis to Russia. I would have to think that Sunday's game against Panthrakikos might be his last chance to get playing time.
-
Not travelling to Krasnodar are Leaoac (1m noth out), Kace, Berbatov, Konstantinidis and Jairo (red card).
Travelling to Russia among others are Cimirot and Kitsiou. Vitor is questionable and will most like start on the bench.
Reports are that after the Tripoli disaster Tudor will switch to a 4-4-2 formation. let's see if he implements this on Thursday. If he does we might see something like this:
--------------------- Glykos --------------------
Skondras - Costa - Malezas - Tzavellas
Golasa --- Tziolis --- Sabo --- Rodrigues
--------- Klaus ----------------- Mak ----------
Odd man out is Pelkas. Would prefer Charisis over Sabo and maybe Kitsiou over Golasa, even though Kitsiou is coming from an injury.
-
How old is he? Maybe he can come back and help Aris in Football League. If Koke can do it, why not him?

Even if we tie on Thursday, we still need to beat Qabala at home and get a result in Dortmund. Highly unlikely. Must win on Thursday.
-
The only way we can win this game is with some extreme luck and everything going our way.
-
Great first half, where we did not let Tripoli crate a single scoring chance. If it wasn't for selfish plays by the usual suspects, the game would have ended there.
Complete capitulation in second half. Big mistake by Tudor taking out Jairo and putting in Klaus, who has not business on this team. The tying goal came too quickly with out defense parting ways like the Red Sea for an easy goal for Asteras. The team had nothing to come back with and score. Adding icing on the cake was a header by Sankare from a set piece. It's not like I did not warn you.
Very poor second half. Costa the worst player on the field. Also Mak, Rodrigues and Pelkas continue to play selfishly, failing to pass the ball to open players. Tudor also to be blamed for making some poor subs.
Another easy 3 points dropped against a weak Tripoli team this season.
-
Golasa had a decent game against Panthrakikos. At least for one half he did. Let's see what he does tomorrow. I am worried about set pieces in our end tomorrow, with Sankare being a real threat. Also the ex-PAOK player Giannou has been on fire lately. If we play like we did against Panathinaikos we stands a good chance of winning this one.

Will be interesting to see what lineup Tudor comes up with, considering the Europa league game on Thursday.
I have a feeling that he will not start Klaus on offense as he has been dismal so far this season.
If I ventured to guess a lineup I would go with this:
-------------------- Glykos -------------------
---- Vitor ----- Costa ----- Tzavellas ----
Skondras - Tziolis - Sabo - Rodrigues
------------------- Pelkas --------------------
-------- Jairo ------------------ Mak --------

Berbatov was brought in by Savvidis for marketing reasons. I really doubt if Arnesen/Tudor had much say in the matter. As it is the style that Tudor is playing is not really suitable for Barbatov and for that matter Klaus as well. It's probably no coincidence that the team picked it up in the Panathinaikos when Berbatov left the pitch. It's probably also no coincidence that Klaus has been lost on the pitch so far this season.
I think we really need a good "dekari' that can create things on offense. Pelkas is just too young and inexperienced to take on that burden all by himself. Also we need defensive help badly.

Laola has a deal with OTE for the cup games. They had a bunch of cup games on today.
It remains to be seen if Laola will continue to show the PAOK home SL games, or if it was only the two big derbys.

2:1 final score. Dismal game by PAOK. I expected much better. We were never in the game.
The Round of 32 is now a dream. The minimum European goal for this season was accomplished, which was the group stage. Let's at least hope we have a good games against Gabala and Dortmund, and get some cash for winning and or/tying those games.
