  1. Another song that sometimes reffered tou as PAOK Ymnos is the song Dikefale Aete sung by the great PAOK player from the 70's Dimitris Paridis, who passed away recently. It's a great song, sometimes also called PAOK Ymnos tou Paridi

    Dikefale Aete

    Singer: Dimitris Paridis

  2. Two songs by the great Apostolis Nikolaidis are sometimes wrongly presented as PAOK Ymnos. They are not, but despite that they are great PAOK songs:

    Maggia Mou Pou Mai PAOKtsis

    Singer: Apostolis Nikolaidis

    Eimaste Trelli

    Singer Apostolos Nikolaidis

  3. What's been missing from the PAOK forum is a topic about PAOK songs. There are many old and new songs out there. Some of them are classics, and some of them (mostly the new ones) are just plain (in my opinion). In this topic we can post all the PAOK related songs that we can find.

Let's start with the official "YMNOS" of PAOK. There are several songs that claim to be the PAOK Ymnos, but there is only one official PAOK Ymnos, and it is this one:

    San Tou PAOK Tin Omada

    Singer: Petros Garonis

All games played at Toumba Stadium. PAOK never played a single leg tie at home against Olympiakos.

  6. Worst possible draw. Not only do we play Olympiakos, we play the second game at Karaiskaki.

First game on March 2. The return leg on April 6 or 7. If Olympiakos qualifies to next stage of Europa League, than that date will move back. let's hope so we can get as many injured players back as we can get.

First game in two weeks. None of our forwards (Klaus, Berbatov) and wings (Jairo, Rodrigues) will be back for that one. It will be important to finish this game without conceding a goal. Even if it ends up 0:0. The other possible problem is the fact that we might have to play this game without fans, as we will definitively get punished for the incident in the PAOK - Atromitos game. The timing of the hearing in that case is important and will determine which game we will have to play without fans.

  7. If we by a miracle don't lose on Sunday that will be a big bonus. We have a very important game next week against Tripoli. That will be a must win game. Hopefully some of the injured players will be slowly returning. Following the Tripoli game we have a fairly easy (on paper) games until the rest of the season. That should be enough to collect points to place us in the top five. Then in the playoffs anything is possible.

  8. I mentioned Malezas above, but I am fairly sure that Tudor will play Tzavellas instead as CB. I also hope Mystakidis is able to play. Otherwise we have no offense to speak off.

    Possible lineup:

    ---------------------- Vellidis ----------------------

    Kitsiou - Chatziisaias - Tzavellas - Leovac

    -------- Cimirot --------------- Kace -------------

    Mystakidis  ------ Pelkas ------------- Golasa

    ----------------------- Mak -------------------------

  9. Tzavellas is a liability. Flirting with a red card in every game. He's also prone to defensive mistakes, just like he did last Sunday. There are better players we can get to play his position, but for now he has a spot on the team due to the lack of other options.

  10.

@Blackhawk - I don't think the stat that PAOK is 5-15-51 against PAO is correct. When I looked it up it seems we have 5 wins in the prior 12 meetings.

2010-02-20 Superleague Greece PAOK 2-1 Panathinaikos

That's because you include home games. My stats are only for the away games, since that's what Sunday's game is.

  11. There probably is some truth to this, but if the team is run in a professional manner, such issues should be taken care off by the coaching staff. However at PAOK it might be difficult, when the owner's son (and future team owner) publicly claims that he is friends with Tzavellas and has a poster of the player hanging on the wall.
