The last friendly in Holland might be against Porto on July 17.

Plays for Steaua. Apparently we're offering him 600k a year (wow). Seems we'd have to pay 2mm to buy him, too.
Why would you pay someone triple the amount he's getting now? I understand a little raise, but triple his salary? Also why pay two mil, when Steaua only paid 1 mil to get him.

Well Tudor is not around anymore ...

It's official. Vellidis is staying for 2 more years.
Also PAE PAOK informed the following loaned players to report to the training camp on June 22:
Pereyra, Kouloutris, Pouggouras, Giannoulis and Deligiannidis

Five friendly games have beenannounced. Three during the traning camp in Holland and two when the team returns to Greece. Fourth friendly game in Holland is expected to be announced later.

Djalma signing is official. 3-years, 700K per season.
Looks like we will be keeping Vellidis after all.

Djalma will be announced tomorrow. The excuse is that the Turkish FA is dragging its feet sending the piece of paper saying that the player is free and not under contract.
Apparently the Mateus signing depends on the fact if we receive an acceptable offer for Mak.
-
Djalma was in Thessaloniki today and passed his physical. Contracts will be signed on Monday.
-
Panionios did not receive a license to play in Europe. PAS Giannina will take their place.
-
Don't forget that Savvidis does not directly own PAOK. On paper the Cypriot company which is linked to Savvidis's sons has the majority of PAOK shares.

If that's the case we might as well stick with Vellidis.
-
I am surprised that Apollon of Cyprus has been seeded above PAOK. Are they that good?
-
The team goal should be to be competitive in all three competitions until the end and hope for the best. We probably are not ready for the title yet, but that does not mean we should not be competitive in Superleague. I don't want another season where we finish more than 10 points behind the champion.
The two transfers so far have been solid in my opinion. Djalma should help as well. We still need to sign 4 to 5 solid starters.
-
Who, Jalma or Mak?
Djalma.
Mak would be happy if he got a 1 mil offer from PAOK.
-
I read somewhere that he turned down Bursaspor that offered him 800K and demanded something closer to 1 mil. I doubt if he lowered his demands when he started talking to us.
-
That article was written by a person with anti-PAOK complex.
They have no reason to hate us. The fans had no intention to kill Blionas. Both sides were launching flares during the game, as was common in those days. The one that hit Blionas accidentally deflected from a pole and hit him. If there was somebody to blame, it would be the security that allowed these things into the stadium to begin with.
The organized AEL fans use this incident to show their hatred for PAOK.
I don't know if it was ever proven 100%, but it was reported that Blionas was a PAOK fan.

Not at all, but I would expect such comment from the 'real' Joe McCarthy of these forums. B)
-
I see Joe McCarthy has chimed in. :D

For those that don't know, he is the son of Xarry Klynn (Vasilis Triandafillidis) who at one point was owner of Apollon Kalamaria.

Skoda's sponsorship of Xanthi ended with last season. As a result Skoda Xanthi's name from now on will be AO Xanthi, which was their original name. They will also get a new emblem.
-
Larisa has the biggest anti-PAOK fans (The Monsters) out there. Not even gavroi come close. They stormed the offices where Kougias and Anastasiadis were negotiating the terms and let their views know they are against him coming to AEL. Following that they released a statement that they don't want a "Mbaoktzi and a senior citizen" coaching their team.

PAOK has just signed Djalma Campos. No idea who he is, but he's a striker from Porto who's been on loan to Turkish teams the past 5 years.
He has not signed with PAOK yet, as far as I know. Let's hope he is a replacement for Jairo and not Mak. Apparently he wants 800K. That is double of current Mak's salary!
