8,625 is without the 1,000 tickets given to the unemployed.
I expect the final count to be over 12,000 season tickets, if not more

List of PAOK players submitted to UEFA for the Ajax games:
-
The Mak transfer to Zenit is official. Announced by both Zenit and PAOK. Godd luck to him.

Varela is in Thessaloniki undergoing medical tests and will be announced any minute.

Guys cut off the personal snipes at each other or I will have to start editing and deleting things.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as it is done within forum rules.
-
Let's not forget there were Ajax spies in the stands today. There is a reason behind the 9 sub madness by Ivic.
I just hope Matos, our best transfer so far is healthy to play on Tuesday.
-
If we get this same result in Amsterdam on Tuesday things will be good.
-
Charisis in for Cimirot
Biseswar in for pelkas
Earlier Kitsiou in for injured Matos
Dismal showing for PAOK so far.

Stream anyone?

They were there this morning sat 39 Euro.

The players that are not included in the squad are:
Vellidis, Siabanis, Milissas, Chatziisaias, Dimitiradis, Korovesis, Mystakidis, Konstantinidis and Kace.
Of those Dimitriadis and Siabanis are most likely going to the U20 squad.
Vellidis will be our 3rd back-up goalie and Melissas will probably be loaned.
Konstantinidis and Kace are behind due to injuries/extended vacation.
This leaves Chatziisaias and Mystakidis. The first one is probably on the black list since he refused to be part of the Varela deal. As for Mystakidis, looks like he might not have impressed Ivic during pre-season training.

Tomorrow is the last day for the holders of season tickets from lasts year to renew their tickets. This coincides with the friendly game against Apollon at Toumba. I would expect a lot of people that will come to see the game to either renew or buy season tickets as well.

Players picked for tomorrow's game against Apollon Limassol:

I really like the blue shirt. I will definitively get one.
Now that the new jerseys are out and available at regular prices, the old ones are now on sale. Still debating if I should get the military one.
-
Exactly. Mak was not going to stay at PAOK considering we were offering only 800K salary, while Zenit is giving him 1.5 mil plus bonuses. I think Mak's mind was made up when he got the red card and the 5 game ban for the penalty against Olympiakos that was never called.
PAOK got a pretty good deal for Mak. We paid 300K to get him, and will pocket 3.5 mil with his sale. Not a bad investment.

2016-2017 PAOK schedule with preliminary dates for Superleague games.
-
Most likely scenario is that AE Pontion will start the Superleague, but it will not finish it.
First of all they are the only team that did not receive a license, which means that can only make limited transfers. The team owes something like 900K to taxing authorities, and any transfers they make will not be approved if they don't take care of this debt. They also owe back wages to most players from last season.
As part of the "non-license" they will be evaluated on quarterly basis to make sure they took care of those debts. If they don't take care of this each evaluation will bring with it punishments, such as monetary fines, point deductions, and eventually expulsion from Superleague.
In the meantime, Papathanasakis has moved from Thessaloniki to a hotel in Athens, and with the help of Marinakis managed to sell Vellios to Nottingham. So far none of the 1.2 mil from that sale have gone to the team in order to take care some of the outstanding issues.

As for this whole licensing process, it reeks of cronyism and demonstrates IMO that the current government is as corrupt as all the previous ones. It should not be up to the government to decide how many channels the market can bear and how many can survive financially- that should be up to the market itself. They should just say 'anyone who wants to operate a TV channel from here on out will be required to purchase a license and the license costs 'X' amount. Let anyone who can afford to pay for the license have one and then the strong will survive and the weak will not.
Just like every other corrupt aspect of life in Greece, so is the award of national television licenses. Those that will pay off the politicians will get their license.
On a positive note, it is quite revolutionary to introduce a licensing process for broadcasting stations. Even the most backward nations have some kind of licensing scheme for broadcasting licenses. In essence all these TV and radio stations so far have been broadcasting illegally.

Apparently there is an attempted military coup in Turkey as I write this.

Probably not in the first game. Maybe in the second leg.
-
PAOK will get 2,500 tickets along with 200 VIP tickets for the game.
-
Last friendly in Holland tomorrow against Twewnte Enschede. I am sure Ivic will use a lineup that he will most likely be the 90% starting lineup for the CL games.
I expect something like this tomorrow:
-------------------- Glykos -------------------
Matos -- Crespo -- Tzavellas -- Leovac
--------- Tziolis ----------- Charisis -------
Rodrigues ----- Sakhov -------- Campos
------------------ Klaus ----------------------
-
Decent draw. We can progress. Their best player Milik might not even play in the first game.
The only thing that worries me is that we never eliminated a Dutch team from any European competition.

Sabo is the player that is part of the Varela deal. The talks with Beitar have been suspended pending the final deal with Steaua.
PAOK will loan Sabo to Steaua paying his full salary. It's up to Savvidis to ok the deal.

Kace was left off probably because he is not ready. He only joined the team practices 3 days ago. He might be on the way out, but I don't think there are any takers. I think he shot himself in the foot, when he refused to re-negotiate his contract last year demanding a lot more money that PAOK was offering, and with his manager planting false news stories that all these Italian teams were after him.
