The first offensive threat we have on offense and Sabo completely F***s it up. We are just pathetic. This game smells of a 0:1 loss.
-
Berbatov in for Klaus.
I still want to see Mak in the game.
-
Leovac in for injured Vitor
-
pelkas tried going through four people.
There are some selfish players on PAOK roster. Pelkas and Rodrigues being two of them.
We are playing ok defensively, but have tough time creating anything on offense. We will need to take some more risks if we want to win this game. I would take out Skondras and Jairo. Switch Rodrigues to the right and put in Leovac and Mak. Also throw in Berbatov down the road.
-
Good result, but Qabala is not the team that we need to challenge for 2nd place. It's Krasnodar, and we need to beat them today, although I have bad feeling about this game. Hope I am wrong.
This is the starting lineup:
--------------- Glykos ------------------
--- Vitor ----- Costa ----- Malezas ---
Skondras - Kace - Sabo - Rodrigues
--------------- Pelkas --------------------
------- Klaus ---------- Jairo ------------
It's raining in Thessaloniki, and it is expected that the fan turnout will be very low. Half an hour before kickoff there are around 2,000 fans in the stands. If we get 10,000, I will be surprised.

Well Tudor listened to everyone and will make several changes in the lineup. He also said today that Europa League is not as important as Superleague, so this is a good time do it.
Apparently he will field this lineup:
--------------- Glykos ------------------
--- Vitor ----- Costa ----- Malezas ---
Skondras - Kace - Sabo - Rodrigues
--------------- Pelkas --------------------
------- Klaus ---------- Jairo ------------
He also announced the squad for the game:
-
Still don't see us reaching the number 12 position that really counts for the next 3 or 4 seasons. We already missed that milestone for next season and it will be tougher down the road. I actually prefer that we don't get an automatic spot in the group stage of CL anyway.
-
Another tough game in the very difficult sequence of 7 games in 21 days. Rotation will become a major factor in the next month or so. We always have a tough time against Panathinaikos at Toumba and this one will not be any different. We need to win so we can cut their lead in standings.
As of now there is no TV coverage outside of Greece, Cyprus and Albania. They will probably let Laola TV show the game again.

Well Tudor's job got easier. Olsen got injured in practice and Glykos will start on Thursday. God help us. I still prefer Olsen over Glykos.
Also it looks like there will be major rotation on Thursday as Tudor is thinking of fielding the following lineup:
---------------- Glykos ------------------
--- Vitor ---- Malezas ---- Skondras
Rodrigues - Kace - Sabo - Leovac
--------------- Pelkas --------------------
------- Klaus ---------- Mak ------------
I see us having difficult time winning Thursday with the above lineup.
-
We also have a difficult game against Panathinaikos on Sunday. Wonder if there will be any kind of rotation by Tudor.
-
Win at any cost, even if it is just 1:0 with a goal in the 92nd minute.
Wonder if we will see Glykos in goal. Possible injuries to Berbatov and Tzavellas might mean they will not be available for Thursday's game.

Olsen has become the easy target for being blamed when result goes the wrong way. He should not be blamed on any of the goals in this game. The only thing I question is why he did not make a move in order to make that offensive foul more believable. Had Berbatov converted on the penalty kick, we would not be talking about Olsen right now! I am not saying he is superb, but playing Glykos is not an improvement.
The reason we did not win today were childish defensive mistakes. AEP had 4 attempts and scored on 3 of them. One of our biggest weakness are set pieces ( 2 goals today), and what does Tzevllas do? Unnecessary foul to give them a chance to tie the game.

Great scene from the game Larissa - Ergotelis

Here is a longer version of the video that is making the rounds on internet and Facebook. Greek soccer at it's best.

Not acceptable to be losing to this team. Tragic defensive mistakes. Two gifts from our defense. Need to get serious in 2nd half.
-
Now reports are that he will start Sabo over Kace. Don't know if I agree with that move.
-
Looks like Tudor is leaning towards starting Leovac, so the lineup might look something like this:
------------------- Olsen --------------------
--- Vitor -------- Costa -----Tzavellas--
Rodrigues - Tziolis - Kace -- Leovac
------------------- Pelkas ------------------
--------- Mak ----------- Berbatov -------
-
I would blame PAOK in most of these cases. The attitude of the team towards those players, letting them get away with murder. Hopefully with Arnesen now running the team such practices will become history. His handling of Lucas, Martens, Pereyra shows me that he is handling these kind of situations.

Greece to Oz is news to me. Ziaka how sure of this are you?

Lazar is injured and will not play for Iraklis, so we don't have to worry about an ex-PAOK player to score against us as is usually the case. That's unless Stamou manages to sneak one past Olsen.
-
I don't think we have any friendlies in November. The only friendlies that I heard of are two games against Australia in late May/early June down under.
-
My lineup:
------------------ Olsen ---------------------
----- Vitor ----- Costa ------ Tzavellas--
Rodrigues --- Tziolis -- Kace -- Mak
------------------ Pelkas -------------------
--------- Klaus ----------- Berbatov -----
We should have no problem beating Iraklis, as we have a much better team. At least offensively. The only thing that worries me if by any chance they score first and then park the bus and counter-attack taking advantage of our questionable defense.
