With our 2015-2016 European season basically over, the only reason to try and get win in this game is to get some points for the team's UEFA rankings and the money that gets awarded for a win.

There is nothing wrong having Tziolis on the team. He is not spectacular, but he is consistent and a hard worker. What bothers me is that he plays non-stop, without any breaks. It's proven that he can't handle the two games in one week grinding schedule.
-
Well that shows that some of those players lack ability and/or experience. I am sure in their hearts they are trying their best. Best example yesterday was Kitsiou. On few occasions he dribbled himself to oblivion, instead of looking around to find somebody to pass to. I have noticed that some of our players when they get the ball just look down and try to dribble around. They don't play with their head up looking for the best play. Even Mak does that.
As for Klaus, he has been very poor. The injury held him back, but the fact that we also got Berbatov might have been a blow to his ego and he can't adjust to the new situation.
-
If Panaitolikos had any real strikers they would have come out the winner in this game.
We just could not unlock that parked bus. Starting Barbatov and Klaus together has proven to be a big disaster.Once Klaus left the pitch we played little bit better. Poor game by most of our players. Still can't believe that a player such as Berbatov would miss such a clear cut chance.
Something has to happen to shake things up.
-
No reason to close it. It's a general thread about other teams. Not just episodia.
And scenes such as these have not happened at Toumba for ages. Things have improved quite a bit over the years. That's not to say we are angels though.
-
That that's kind of passion I expected from players like Pelkas, Klaus, Konstandinidis and Kace....but it's just not the case.
Three out of those four actually show the passion when they step on the field. The problem is that their ability of playing soccer is kind of limited.

Wasn't Tziolis just resigned for 3 years?
No he hasn't, even though it appears they want him to stay on the team.
They don't really have to extend his contract right now. It will be extended automatically until June 2017. There is a clause in his contract that if he plays a certain amount of game this season it automatically get extended. Since he is playing in almost every single game, he should have a problem meeting that clause, if hasn't done already.

Tudor is still stuck on using 3 CBs on defense, and according to a report I heard this morning he will go with this lineup:
------------------- Glykos ---------------------
----- Tziolis - Malezas - Skondras ------
Kitsiou -- Golasa -- Kace -- Rodrigues
----------------- Berbatov --------------------
---------- Klaus ----------------- Mak -------
I don't like the defensive setup at all. I am afraid we will see a repeat of the Panthrakikos game. We might score 2-3 goals, but will also be vulnerable in the back. Hopefully Panatolikos will not be as prolific in scoring on their chances as did Panthrakikos.
-
Vitor is definitively out of Sunday's game. I would not want to be Tudor trying to come up with a defense for this game. According to report he is still thinking of using a 3 CB defense. The only players available to do that are Tziolis, Malezas and Skondras. In other words, god help us.
I would go with a 4-2-3-1 ormation. Something like this:
----------------- Glykos ---------------------
Kitsiou - Tziolis - Malezas - Skondras
-------Sabo --------------- Kace -----------
Rodrigues---- Berbatov ------- Mak
------------------- Klaus ---------------------
If Kace is not ready, use Golasa instead.
-
Konstantinidis is ready to extend his contract.
There is some interest in Olsen from Denmark for a loan.
Napoli is supposedly interested in Salpiggidis.
Tziolis's contract will automatically be extended until 2017.
Arnesen is talking with Kace about extending contract, but apparently Kace is asking for a lot of money.
-
After couple practices Vitor is not feeling well again, so he eventually might not be able to play.
-
Ever since the junta they have all had a complex with authority, they hate any form of it, police, referees, government.
That pretty much sums up all organized fans in Greece from all the teams. It's basically a reflection of Greek society in general. What I like about PAOK organized fans is the difference that they are all independent clubs, even including the pro-religious one Xrysos Dikefalos. There is no PAOK fan club such as Super 3 (Aris) or Aftonomi 10 (Pontoii Iraklis) that act in dictatorship fashion.
I agree. The fan clubs should stick to supporting the team by attending games and not trying to run the team. The problem is that in the past the various owners were subsidizing those clubs to keep them in line, and when the money stopped flowing they turned on the team.
-
Charisis came back from his U21 NT duties with severe injury and will miss about one month, so he is out. I am afraid Tziolis will play on Sunday. He needs to take some breaks. He's been playing non-stop since the beginning of the season, and it has proven that he can't handle playing games close to each other.
-
Reality is that both of our past coaches Santos and rehagel
would have both played for the draw in Turkey.
Greek soccer is all about clean sheets and winning 1-0.
Nothing wrong with todays result , but changes still have to be made so
we can score.
Exactly. The deviation from that style with Ranieri/Markarian/Tsanas experiments cost us EURO 2016 qualification. The sooner we get back to that style, that's when we see some winning ways. It's obvious that we just don't have the players to play wide attacking style. Biggest mistake by EPO (Sarris) was treating Santos like dirt during and after the WC and not trying to extend his contract.

Vitor is ok and will be ready for Sunday. Cimirot is game ready and might finally see some action. I would sit Tziolis out and have him on the bench as CB backup, since he is playing way too many games. Also Kace is back in full practice mode.
-
And everybody's favorite player Tziolis played 90 minutes against Turkey greatly helping the team to secure a tie in Constantinopole, Tzavellas also got in for a minute or two.
-
Game is not on ERT?
No, the Turks were asking for more money than previously agreed apparently.
-
At the end ERT and the Turkish FA channel did not come to an agreement, and the game will not be televised in Greece after all.
The only channel that will have the game is the Turkish one TV8, which is an FTA channel, so streams should be readily available.
The game will also be televised all over Africa and Middle East on beIN Sports Arabia 8.
-
What time is this game on and any links?
20:15 Greek Time. Game will be televised live on ERT TV. Also on Turkish channel TV8.
-
ERT TV will show the Turkey - Greece game in Greece tomorrow. Kick-off is at 20:15 Greek Time.
-
Let's hope Vitor is fine and can play. Otherwise we will have to contend with Tziolis as CB again. We only have one CB left that is healthy, and that is Malezas.
Tzavellas is sitting out due to cards, and I think Tudor will go with Tziolis over Skondras as CB.
Apparently Tudor is also thinking of starting Klaus and Berbatov together. In that case it looks like Pelkas will see the bench.
-
Laola1.TV will stream the U21 national team Euro qualifier against Hungary on Monday live.
-
Luxembourg the better team so far.

One day after the bad result against Panaitolikos, the players and coaching staff got together for team dinner during which Klaus and Rodrigues were trolling Tudor after he called the players ballerina's following the game.
