  1. We have secured a medal in Sailing, 470 class. Medal race is tomorrow, but we are guaranteed a medal and can even get the gold.

I am watching the Greece - Italy quarterfinal water polo game and we are playing very badly. Losing 2:0 after 1st quarter. We need to pick it up.

  2. Kougias spent his career slandering Marinakis. The last year he has stopped and turned on Alafouzos and the other members of the Troika.

Exactly, and his reward for the flip was a promotion to SL for his team. Now he is just re-paying the favor.

  3. Asteras Tripoli the hypocrites. Last week when the referee list was released they were against starting the Superleague on time, but it appears that after some weekend consultations  with the masters they changed their mind.

  4. For those of you guys who live in the U.S.

Greece vs. Australia in the Men's Water Polo will be aired on MSNBC

    Noon CT

    1 pm ET

First we need to beat Brazil tonight (5:30 pm CDT). I'll catch it on the NBC stream. You can watch every single sport live on the NBC stream as long as you receive NBC channels through your cable/satellite provider.

  5. That's the second time in couple years that Mystakidis is re-negotiating his contract with PAOK. That's a reward for having a good season and a good representation by his Turkish agent Mutlu. I hope Michel slaps a nice and hefty sell-out clause as I see him becoming a solid player if he works hard.

  6. Looks like there a war between EPO and Superleague concerning the selection of referees. Kontonis is threatening to block the new Superleague season from starting on August 20 claiming that EPO has not applied the decisions made during a meeting between EPO, Kontonis and UEFA/FIFA.

  7. Bad day for Greece last night and today. Brazil defeated Serbia in water polo, and if we don't beat them tomorrow we stand a very good chance of not qualifying to quartefinals of the competition.

Also today our two hopes for medals in rowing ended as we only got 4th and 6th place in today's finals. Our third rowing boat failed to qualify from the semifinals, so that means no medals in rowing.

The only bright spot today might be Kristian Golomeev in swimming who qualified to the semifinals of 50m Freestyle, with a good chance to make it to the final later today.

  9. Yes there are realistic chances. Iliadis in the judo, men's water polo is going well atm, Stefanidi is a massive chance in the pole vault. Also rowing and gymnastics I have heard but can't remember the names.

Iliadis lost today, so no medal for him.

I think the only realistic chances we have is Petrounias in gymnastics and maybe 1 or 2 medals in rowing. Stefanidi has a chance in pole vault, but it will be tough. Watched little bit of the water polo game today, and the team looked very good. They might be in the running for a medal, but it will be very tough.
