The coach and the front office decided this season is a team rebuilding one and they don't have big expectations for the season. The European success so far this season is just an added bonus.

Gaitanidis played at Apollon Smyrnis for half of the last season, but did not do anything spectacular there. Probably the reason why he was not called up for the pre-season training sessions.
