We will need all the points we can get, because we will be losing the very productive season of 16/17 (8.000 points)
-
I don't disagree, but you have to be ready to play in the CL. We are not. And last two years we were not ready to even play in Europa League. I say this season go out and have a respectable showing in EL. Qualify from the groups stage and see how far you can go. Next season go to Conference and see if can make it to the quarterfinals or semifinals. Slowly build up before you tackle CL again.
-
I think so too, but not because he did not score on the penalty kick. Anybody can miss one. The reason I think he should move on is that he has not improved in the las couple years. He is still the selfish player that he was two years ago. Instead of passing the ball to a player in a better position he will dribble the ball to death and then lose it. On top of that he was made the team captain, which is a role I don't think he is suited for.
-
We might be able to. They have 2 teams left in the competitions and after tomorrow it's possible they will only have one. We are going to the groups stages with 2 teams and possibly 3. Serbia in 16th place has only one team left. Our teams will need to do well in the group stages. As for the Conference League i would not necessarily put the competition down. After all it might be an easier path to actually accomplish something in Europe. Something that no Greek team has never done as opposed to other countries. After all even teams such as Slovan Bratislava won an European title in the past.

Unless there are some miracles in tomorrows EL games, PAOK will be in pot 3, and will probably play one powerhouse (Roma, Napoli, Benfica) from pot 1, one team of our caliber (pot 2), and one weaker team (at least on paper) from pot 4. We should progress from the group stage and try our best in the knockout rounds.
-
I'll predict that we are not winning this game. The players mind will not be at the right place.
-
Luck was not on our side in this series. It ran out in the Benfica game. Had we scored first it would have been a different game. And then we don't get the lucky bounce on their goal. I don't think our goal was CL anyway. It just happened that we got lucky and were gifted the chance to play for it. And Rebbe scrambled to get players at the last minute to give us a fighting chance. Let's just regroup and have a decent showing in Europa League.
-
All the Greek teams will play in the Conference League except for the champion, so this was our last chance to play in the group stages.
-
And one specifically one that only And one specifically one that came in only when we were down and out. But he was busy behind the scenes earlier.
-
still have chance
-
Europa League it is then. CL is not meant for us.
-
We are playing like we don't really want it.
-
Colak in for Pelkas
-
WTF Pelkas. Have you heard of passing the ball?
-
Their goalie has been shaky so far. Let's put the pressure on.
-
And Galavision which is available on most cable systems
-
I expected Colak to start, but I am sure he will get his chance in the game. Krasnodar is missing Wanderson and Olson in the lineup. Those are big absences in their lineup. Berg is starting. Hoping for our defensemen to be extra hard on Berg and specially on his injured leg. Within legal limits of course.
-
Watch the fans that are following the team bus to Toumba and the rest of the pre-game show on Radio Primo:
-
One of the 4 "injured" Krasnodar players (Wanderson) did not make the trip. In the meantime Berg practiced all by himself and is game time decision if he will play or not.
-
I think he will follow Matos as far as his status on the team is concerned.

3 subs. I'll go on the record and say the injuries at Krasnodar are just smoke screen. I bet 3 out of the 4 will start the game. I am sure Ferreira will finish the season with us. The coach and the front office decided this season is a team rebuilding one and they don't have big expectations for the season. The European success so far this season is just an added bonus.

Gaitanidis played at Apollon Smyrnis for half of the last season, but did not do anything spectacular there. Probably the reason why he was not called up for the pre-season training sessions. Finally we got rid of Warda and we won't have to go through this every transfer period. Warda came on radio today bitching at PAOK for not giving him the opportunities to prove himself, and that they prevented him from signing with Olympiakos and Aris. Tsiggaras is being loaned to Apollon Smyrnis. Balogiannis will most likely be a free transfer to OFI. Vieirinha is close to signing with Lucescu's team in Saudi Arabia with a salary of 1.2 mil per season. Expect more player movements the closer we get to the transfer deadline (October 5).
