  1. Definitely feared the worst when I saw how much blood he had on him immediately after the hit
  2. Same here. If not them, then Slavia just to have a chance to take Greece's coefficient in our own hands. Knowing our luck, we'll get Roma.
  3. Terrible control and passing by Vieirinha today
  4. I took it to mean Lyratzis was 100% going to start. I would not have thought Sastre was in danger of, like, fatigue though!
  5. You're right, that was a stupid idea. We need some guy who is always injured and teetering on the edge of suspension.
  6. Could this be our first transfer of the summer? Apparently was originally recruited by Boto himself. https://www.transfermarkt.com/vitao/profil/spieler/428783
  7. I don't think Vieirinha should start, but I think he will. I wouldn't mind Murg. I think I'm the only person here who likes him haha
  8. I don't think there will be many surprises in this lineup. --Pashalakis-- --Lyratzis--Ingason--Crespo--Vieirinha-- --Schwab--Tsiggaras-- --Mitrita--Augusto--Biseswar-- --Akpom-- I wonder why we write this as a 4-2-3-1 when it seems we play a 4-3-3 nowadays? Hmm...
  9. Not all that surprising. Lyratzis only recently started playing, and I think a new manager is more likely to give the more experienced guys a run. Hopefully that changes soon.
  10. Not the most riveting game so far haha
  11. Hahaha since when are the English preternaturally patient?? It's just a shame that we won't get that extra bonus money for them staying in the league.
  12. El Kaddouri is sick and it seems he won't be available for the game. A change of pace from being injured.
  13. That is true, but I honestly think it's becoming less and less of an issue as time goes on. Medicine progresses fast, and I struggle to remember the last time we had a guy tear a meniscus who didn't look fine coming back. Maybe Mistakidis? But I kind of feel the team just moved forward without him, and by the time he was back there was no room for him.
  14. I'm guessing that is not a rhetorical question so I'll answer it straight: the team got butthurt that his son signed with Benfica, it led to some weirdly bad blood between the two sides, and ended with Varela has been training with the B team for, what, 6 weeks now? I believe he was removed from our European list when we moved past the group stage as well. There were some rumors that his old team in Romania was interested, but were not willing to pay the salary he's on. So he's content to ride out the remainder of his contract and then try his luck as a free agent. A sad end to a great partnership.
  15. Michailidis out for six months: https://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20220314-iatriko-deltio-gia-ton-gianni-michailidi/
  16. He needs a few long-term injuries before we consider that!
  17. Btw Lodygin was fantastic today. But that's not surprising considering how long he's been so good. And to think, Greece almost managed to cap him ?
  18. Fantastic that we scored. Did Michailidis already get confirmation of torn ligaments?? Absolutely terrible.
