Yeah I don't get it. The press conference will actually be tomorrow in Toumba, from what I saw. Are they trying to avoid the local press for some reason? Weird.
-
Strange timeline. Savvidis has been at his resort for a few days now, right? He must have negotiated this a while back, if so.
-
ALREADY LIKIN' THE KID! https://inpaok.com/829390/allagi-planon-me-soretire/ Also, among the first pics of the new guy in training: Two more to go; let's see if Chalov actually happens.

Yeah, you prefer watching 16 year olds in person/behind a bush

They're saying Tissoudali has passed his physical, but the announcement probably won't be made until Sunday. Not sure if that means he trained today. Several sites (who are probably copying and pasting from each other) are saying Razvan Marin is back in play, with us having given an offer of 3.5mm to Cagliari, and 1.2mm per year (+ 500k signing bonus) for the player. I would LOVE this move; as I said to our coach friend earlier, his highlights remind me of a cross between Misic and Cimirot. This one, meanwhile, has come completely out of the blue: He plays as an attacking midfielder, and is currently a free agent. I'm guessing he would be relatively cheap; my suspicion is that we'll also be selling Konstantelias by December (if not August), so perhaps the team is considering the luxury of having a kid ride the bench/vie for backup privileges with Murg? https://www.transfermarkt.us/shola-shoretire/profil/spieler/640026

Another new rumor (sorry folks, can't stop now). This time, of an alleged offer we made that was rejected: https://www.transfermarkt.us/dejan-ljubicic/profil/spieler/287188 His brother plays for AEK (gross)

Nuremberg is playing a friendly vs Juventus, live on youtube: Our boy isn't starting (game is in the 27th minute as I write this). Probably will play in the second half.
-
Tissoudali has arrived at SKG. Was on youtube and saw that PAOK Today had started up a livestream. These people are too much. I love watching video at 144p resolution!
-
Chalov was allegedly a done deal like five days ago, but now the sites are copying-pasting an update today about how they're still trying to convince him to come, and Savvidis just met with him, etc etc etc. My guess is that this is not as sure a thing as we were led to believe. -edit- one more update: Tissoudali, which was also a "done deal" is now expected some time in the PM on Sunday. Also, Quagliata was "announced" by his new team, but I haven't seen any announcements by PAOK. Not that I'm upset.

Panathinaikos won vs Botev Plovdiv, 2-1. I wonder if their fans are panicking as much as ours?

Here are the top twenty leagues, btw. We made up a few points relative to Scotland, but still have a hill to climb. I believe the points for teams that qualified directly to their respective league stages are already included here, so Scotland already got their boost. # country 20/21 21/22 22/23 23/24 24/25 ranking teams 1 England 24.357 21.000 23.000 17.375 3.428 89.160 7/ 7 2 Italy 16.285 15.714 22.357 21.000 3.750 79.106 8/ 8 3 Spain 19.500 18.428 16.571 16.062 3.428 73.989 7/ 7 4 Germany 15.214 16.214 17.125 19.357 3.750 71.660 8/ 8 5 France 7.916 18.416 12.583 16.250 2.571 57.736 7/ 7 6 Netherlands 9.200 19.200 13.500 10.000 2.000 53.900 6/ 6 7 Portugal 9.600 12.916 12.500 11.000 2.400 48.416 5/ 5 8 Belgium 6.000 6.600 14.200 14.400 1.200 42.400 5/ 5 9 Turkey 3.100 6.700 11.800 12.000 0.200 33.800 5/ 5 10 Czech Republic 6.600 6.700 6.750 13.500 0.200 33.750 5/ 5 11 Israel 7.000 6.750 6.250 8.750 0.125 28.875 4/ 4 12 Norway 6.500 7.625 5.750 8.000 0.250 28.125 4/ 4 13 Austria 6.700 10.400 4.900 4.800 1.200 28.000 5/ 5 14 Scotland 8.500 7.900 3.500 6.400 1.200 27.500 5/ 5 15 Greece 5.100 8.000 2.125 11.400 0.500 27.125 4/ 4 16 Denmark 4.125 7.800 5.900 8.500 0.250 26.575 4/ 4 17 Switzerland 5.125 7.750 8.500 5.200 0.000 26.575 5/ 5 18 Poland 4.000 4.625 7.750 6.875 0.750 24.000 4/ 4 19 Ukraine 6.800 4.200 5.700 4.100 1.400 22.200 4/ 5 20 Serbia 5.500 9.500 5.375 1.400 0.000 21.775 5/ 5 21 Croatia 5.900 6.000 3.375 5.875 0.000 21.150 4/ 4 VERY important for us to have four teams making the group stages of these competitions. Not gonna make progress otherwise.

Cheer up, everyone. Their goals were from dumb mistakes on our part. We go in with an advantage; we will improve. Fixing mental lapses is, like, Lucescu's specialty.
-
Hopefully a different M-player
-
We're rusty as hell. I also think a big problem here is that we play to the level of our opponents. I don't think we'll be as bad vs Malmo (whose final score against a much worse team was only slightly better than what we saw today). But playing to the level of our opponents leads to us having heart attacks every year. Zero chance Tissoudali and Chalov will be available for the next game, but I wonder if Lucescu will try them vs Malmo. Also: Camara actually looked all right, in my opinion.
-
Only 2.2 million?? Wow, that's even less than I thought. Good job by (presumably) Maria G. Saw some sites now saying that Chalov might be around the 25th, which is code for "in three weeks."
-
Different year, same old story. They will progress, only question is if they will find a rhythm beginning with next week's game. AEK is performing as poorly against an even worse opponent right now, btw.
-
I believe Murg's garbage pass is what lead to that goal. Perhaps Konstantelias needs a few minutes. -edit- because i can't spell names
-
Predictions that we might hear something about Tissoudali by EOD today... Player has also started following the club on instagram 😉
-
This is all the more reason not to wet ourselves at the idea of playing them. Malmo played a bad team, and beat them. We are about to play a slightly less bad team, and we probably will have a similar result. Then we will crush Malmo.
-
^hell yeah Anyway, here's the list that was called up for this game: Κοτάρσκι, Τσιφτσής, Βιεϊρίνια, Σάστρε, Όττο, Κεντζιόρα, Εκόνγκ, Θυμιάνης, Κουλιεράκης, Μιχαηλίδης, Ράφα Σοάρες, Μπάμπα, Τσιγγάρας, Καμαρά, Σβαμπ, Οζντόεφ, Μουργκ, Κωνσταντέλιας, Τάισον, Α.Ζίβκοβιτς, Ντεσπόντοφ, Μπράντον, Σαμάτα No shocks there. But aren't we supposed to have a third goalkeeper for these? Or am I making that up.
-
Seeing that instead of a sale, we may be loaning Quagliata to Central Cordoba in Argentina, with a purchase option. Let's just say that judging by what I see of that team, we will definitely not be cracking a seven-figure deal here. Unless it's denominated in Argentine Pesos.
-
If he can't even make the list for this game, then I can't imagine we'll try to reclaim him. I would agree. The "False 9 Show" on youtube just dropped a prediction that Lucescu will try to keep Samatta. However.... : https://inpaok.com/828607/vrike-ton-anti-tisountali-i-gandi/ Last I read, they were asking for about 4mm for him, while we were trying to get him for 3. Stay tuned!
-
This one is kind of unlikely IMO but apparently the Russians are saying we are (or were) interested in Vanja Drkusic: https://www.transfermarkt.us/vanja-drkusic/profil/spieler/371856 I still expect us to get at least one CB, but it would depend on getting rid of Ekong and (hopefully) Nasberg.
-
We got this. It was inevitable to draw the Nordics, I guess. Hopefully by then we will be ready.
-
Razvan Marin has signed a new contract with Cagliari, so I guess that one's off the table. All the more reason to sign Misic NOW
