Pelkas has been looking good, not all that many mistakes from what I've seen. I'm watching via foxsoccer2go. I figured I may as well start paying for this again. ANYWAY, Sabo has been half decent (esp in the last 15 minutes). Tziolis is a massive liability. Each time he moved up into an attack, he's just been abysmal. I say take a chance on Charisis there.

Pelkas has been good as usual. Kitsiou very active. Klaus invisible, I think he'll come off for Berbatov
-
Tziolis has been particularly bad I think. Third time I've seen him walk the ball out of bounds.

Yellow for Rodrigues
-
I think we look pretty poor honestly

Dortmund is down a goal at this time

Our lineup: Olsen Vitor Costa Tzavellas Kitsiou Sabo Tziolis Rodrigues Pelkas Mak Klaus Good lineup, no surprises

Panthrakikos/Xania/Olympiakos Volos

Who is that in the picture used by the video above? It looks like Dracula.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Football is by far the most popular sport here in the States. The US is by far richer than any soccer-mad country, and also has a large population. The only league that even approaches the commercialization of the NFL is the EPL, and they look frankly quaint by comparison.

Would love to see Charisis get some time. He looked so promising for those two games he managed to play. Agreed on Berbatov.

I would be quite satisfied with Laola1 having it again ;)

He had an interview as he was leaving with one of the PAOK24 bloggers. Basically said exactly that - he hopes the season passes quickly, and he's going to try to reclaim a spot in the team when he returns. The fact that we got another year added to his contract is a good sign. Either he comes back and REALLY wants to stay (and stops with the m*****es), or we can sell him and get a few euroes out of this whole mess. He'll probably dominate in that league as well.

It's always depressing when I hear a Greek speak highly of people like Katsouranis. We always go for the low-hanging fruit.

That post stayed excellent

I'm seeing that he also got the assist on the first goal.
-
You're correct, it was reset for the group stages. I believe Dutch Eagle put up the exact language in a different thread.
-
Personally I'm very surprised Savvidis was left out.
-
Pfffft you've gone mad with power, fearless leader

I love the interviews with Arnesen. Here's another very long one, fresh from today. He goes into a lot of detail on pretty much every topic you can think of.

Siga re, we don't need to give Fetfatzidis any more excuses than strictly necessary.
-
It's good to see that he didn't maintain that level of fitness in the last NT match, then!
-
I'm too excited to wait, so I went ahead and made the topic. This should be a good game, with an *insane* atmosphere. It seems AEK forgot to buy strikers, so I wouldn't be shocked to see Tudor lose one of the CBs in order to add another body into the midfield. Any thoughts on how this game will go?

I just mean long-term throughout the season, we'll be playing against teams who park the bus. It does suck about Leovac for these upcoming games, but I think Korovesis is a like-for-like replacement for him, and let's not forget that Mak was a lock in that position up until the regular season started (and he was moved into a CF role out of necessity).
