Can only see 1 change to the team from last week with Simeos coming in for Lambro, don't think Ketsbaia will make any further changes and really there's no need for any other changes. I havent read or heard what injury Lazaros actually has, does anyone know? Also plenty of AEK fans making the trip up to Veria, hoping I'll be there also.

Lazaros is still not 100% they're saying for this weekend. Hopefully he can recover in time as he would be a great addition even if he comes off the bench. Really hope Simeos is fully fit as I can't take another game with Lambro playing in the middle.

For a first game we are looking good boys. Ketsbaia has us playing a good brand of football, but I agree he needs to stop putting Lambro in the middle, it didn't work against Etienne that should've been enough. Once Simeos is fully fit we won't be seeing Lambro there, but if we do have another issue in the middle id rather see Galanopoulos given a start as the kid is a talent. Veria away will be a good test, even though we beat them away last season we left it very late and these are the teams we need to be putting away without any problems.

Must be my luck re boys I'll be in Kavala by end of week so will try my best to make the trip to Veria, really wana do an away game and the crowd there last season was awesome. Hopefully I can get there, 2 hour drive I'm told.

Boys what an experience being in the ground. Patito, I said from day 1 he was a talent and today he showed what he's capable of. The tank Chygrynsky looks a top signing he was everywhere for us today. Almeida 2nd what a F***en bomb that was. I feel we are in for a treat this season, let's not forget Lazaros was out also imagine he played today Ketsbaia seemed he was trying different things once he made those changes it really slows our flow down,but things can only get better!! iv had a massive afternoon and night so will post some pics and videos on here when I get up. Great start to the season though,bravo boys shows we mean business.

Hearing Lazaros is out that's the word in Athens. Going to the game also I'm so pumped for it. Xanthi has a decent side also so we shouldn't take them lightly but with a big crowd and being first game we should get the job done

Boys I know he's 18 but galanopoulos is turning out to be a big talent and I'm starting to believe he can do the job for us when called on. Can't wait for Sunday I'm going to the game

I think all teams are strong including Oly now who brought in some talent, before I didn't rate their roster now they seem to have added some decent players, Cardozo for me is a good signing even at his age, the guy scores goals its that simple. Will be interesting season ahead IF it ever starts, hoping they start the 10th as I arrive in Athens next week!!

Original I'm glad you mentioned Meireles as a few in Greece told me we are going for him, now IF we do get him, then I can say we have a team worthy of challenging the league. Lambro can F*** off right off from the middle, he offers nothing I would rather Galanopoulos there, the kid has plenty of talent. Overall tough we brought in 9 new players and we are stronger all over the park, just need to cover that DCM position.

^^ That isn't correct he ripped it up at Newell's which got him a NT call up. But I agree I cant see him coming now and turning it on like the way he used to do, if he did come though it will give the fans a massive boost to have him in our colours again, so you never know that could lift him to do what's needed.

Would be mad if Zuculini does come back, then we have depth all over. As for Scocco another 10 years will go by and our media will still be talking about him. Ok he had a massive impact at AEK but that was years ago, will he even have the same impact at his age?

Lazaros will be good for us, his pace will help us a lot going forward and he is an experienced player, better to have him than no one after we lost Barbosa. Lescott, as much as I don't rate him the only good thing I see is having him and Chygrynsky at the back we have a ton of experience and we wont see the usual school boy mistakes we saw in the past. Yes Lescott has been very average in England of late but I think the only thing in his favour here is the pace of the game is much slower so he should adapt easy and not have too many problems.

Question now with these 2 additions is can we make a real title charge this season? Still need a DM as back up even though I do rate Galanopoulos. This squad has talent in all positions

The only reason I can see lescott doing well is because the pace of the game in Greece will be better for him, time tell. Lazaros has pace to burn so not a bad signing plus at this stage there aren't too many others we could get. could be worse signings so all is not bad.
