  1. Klaus is an ok poacher but thats it. When was the last time in a big game we said, Jesus Klaus took the game on and won it for us? He is not that sort of player, which is fine. But our team isn't good enough to have our striker standing in the box waiting for balls and chances to come his way. We need a striker who will come deep, be part of some build up play, play with there back to goal. Sure its okay for him (or any striker) to play as a pure poacher against Kalloni and others, but in European games and against the other big teams we need someone who will offer more than just a tap in. He has a good scoring record against Olympiakos but some of his worst game I recall being against PAO, AEK and in Europe against decent oppostion. Again, he is an ok poacher and scorer, but he does also fluff many chances he really should bury considering he is a poacher. Nothing against him I don't mind Klaus at all, but I think looking at it objectively if we want to take the next step he can not be our starting center forward. Just my opinion

  2. Well it's not the gamias we are after. Rumors are we are looking at the attacking midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto. What I fail to understand is that we are going after players, even though we don't have a coach for next season. Have we not learned anything from the last 4 seasons? What kind of F*** logic is that?

  4. I think we would all agree that Klaus has been average this season. However I just had a look over some numbers, despite poor performances he has 11 goals in 21 games, many of which he was a substitute, he's scoring a goal every 120 minutes. Now I'm not saying he's having a great season, but I did think that the numbers would reflect a much poorer season from him.

  6. Yeah, agreed. I wouldn't blink with an eye if the referee calls are in our favour for the next three matches too. After all, Marinakis needs some idiots who are able to get Greece some points in UEFA.

  7. I don't think they will take 6 points from us. I think it will be 3 points. There is also a chance that AEK will get deducted 3 points. Additionally, Panionios and possibly Giannina might not receive a license to play in the playoffs, so it could really become a big mess.

  8. Actually, the tie is a better result considering that with a 6 points deduction we would have been just one point ahead to Giannina if they had won today. As it is now with just 3 matchdays left, the standings are: PAOK 44 (38) remaining games: Panionios away, Levadiakos home, Platanias away Panionios 41 r.g.: PAOK h, AEK a, Atromitos h Platanias 35 r.g.: Xanthi h, Giannina a, PAOK h Giannina 35 r.g.: Levadiakos a, Platanias h, Xanthi a Let's say we get 6 points deducted and lose to Panionios but win at home against Levadiakos. We would have 41 points in this case. Platanias would need 6 points against Giannina away and Xanthi at home to tie with us, but we would have still the better goal difference in comparison. Finally, they would need to win against us to be in 5th place. Giannina on the other hand has games against Levadiakos away, Platanias at home and Xanthi away. They would need to win against two of their opponents and to tie with the third at least to get to the 5th place. Furthermore, they'd have to hope that we lose against Platanias. Having that said, I think Giannina has the least chances to get to the 5th place. Platanias could turn into a real threat since we play our last match against them away. But then again, destiny is in our own hands. With that in mind, we should keep an eye on their results, especially on the match winner of Giannina vs. Platanias. However, I'm not really afraid of them nor do I believe they're able to keep getting good results until the end of the season. They don't have the quality for that. Oh and btw, have I already mentioned that Panionios has 2 derbys after the match with us?

  10. This game might be enough to seal our entry into the playoffs. Very important match.

  11. The big test is our next game against a very good Panionios team. That's where we will see if we have turned things around.

  12. So we need a ton of players this offseason to actually have a shot of qualifying for the group stages of Europa League. 1. Goalkeeper: Baroja is on loan and I don't see enough in him to warrant buying him. I liked him a lot in the beginning of the year but he seems to have the same problem as Anestis with crosses. He's also older than Anestis, shorter, and is not as good of a shot stopper. I'd keep Anestis as a backup and buy an experienced and proven top quality Keeper. 2. Centerback: We need to get two. Kolovetsios has taken huge steps up this year and he can be a starter next year but other than him we have nothing. Arzo is garbage, and Labropoulos is average. I'd get one centerback that's faster, more experienced, and better than Kolovetsios to play next to him. I'd also get another one that's of similar quality to Kolovetsios for depth. I'd keep Tzanetopoulos as a 4th option and give him game time in the cup and against mediocre opponents to continue his development. 3. Left back: I like Didac a lot, but he seems to get a lot of yellow cards and misses games because of that, and he has a bad injury history. So, I would find a backup that's around the same level of him defensively. Soiledis is good offensively but if Didac gets hurt and we have a European game with Soiledis trying to defend we are in trouble. 4. Right back: We have Bakakis, Galo, and Vasiloantonopoulos, we have plenty of coverage here. 5. Midfield: We have Simoes Johanson Mantalos and Cordero here. We have plenty of starting quality. I would try go get Zuculini back, and another younger midfield for depth. He can be playing in the super league already. Some options: Siopis from Panionions, and Kourbelis from Asteras. 6. Wings: We only have Barbosa that's a true winger. We need at least one more winger that is similar a player to Barbosa, and then keep Vargas, and maybe Platellas as bench options. Along with the one winger, I'd make a huge push for Bakasetas that can play up top, on the wing, and behind the striker. 7. Strikers: The huge problem area. We need a gun up here. We need a player here that can do it all. Tall, quick, great ball control, great finisher, and great technique. We can't mess this one up, we need our own Berg style player. If we aren't going to splash the cash for a star striker then we need to make a push for Vellios because he has the potential to be this kind of player. We need anywhere between 6-8 good players to come so we can finish somewhere close to Olympiakos, and get into the group stages of Europe League and do decent there. All of these players, and Poyet to stay.

  13. Mitroglou was celebrating his goal for Benfica against Tondela last week while his coach was giving him a mouth full for getting a yellow card for taking his shirt off.

  15. He got a dumb yellow last match. He got booked for taking his shirt off after scoring so got his 5th yellow and missed this recent match. Ohh well, he should be fresh for the internationals this week.
