  1. Actually I'm from Germoney (pun intended) and lived there my whole life. But my father being a fanatic PAOKtsis dragged me quite some years ago into the holy temple of Toumba, where I converted into a full PAOKtsis ever since. After this I've visited some games at Toumba every summer and our "legendary" 1-1 away game against Schalke. To hear the Champions League hymn live on the spot is something you won't forget, especially not if you are PAOK. :D

  2. Karnezis Holebas - Sokratis - Manolas - Torosidis Kpaps Tachtsidis Samaris Fortounis Karelis Mitroglou I'd like to see this is injuries weren't an issue. Don't think we've ever seen this lineup and it seems the most obvious...?

  3. Yeah, I thought the same before we lost twice against Panthrax with our proponitara... Anyways, our team is gaining momentum. If this holds on I see us taking all 9 points right before the play offs.

  4. Yes. It still bothers me though that we (might) get a deduction of points in the league for riots in the cup. I could live with an expulsion from the cup but not a deduction of points in the SL like last year as they are two very different things.

  6. Here's the press conference. Ivic starts about 30 minutes in. I'm just starting it now, but can note that the second question posed to Ivic was about whether or not he knows why the team can't go more than a few days without injuries. He says he thinks he knows the reason... Doesn't seem to imply that it's the pitch at the training center (else he would have just said it). -edit- ends pretty quickly too, not much of interest

  7. Who would have thought that playing 4 in the back to compensate for lack of star quality, putting Kace in the lineup and playing everyone else in their ACTUAL position would lead to 2 consecutive wins....Crazy, crazy stuff this Ivic character is doing here...and that's with 3 starters STILL on the bench.....

  8. Might be useful at the end of the normal season. We will see.

  9. That's awesome. I once accidentally destroyed an escalator in K?ln by jamming a shoe into it. Would you mind sending my regrets? I can't remember which store it was, and I think I did it in 1996, so it might take a while to find the right one.

  10. You know what would help with proof? Actually investigating the allegations, my potassium-enriched friend

  11. Not much to say about this one, everything else besides a victory would set an end to our play offs ambitions. I predict an easy win. A dominant 4-0 victory is long overdue.

  12. Call me naive, but I'm getting tired of all these allegations of corruption without any actual specifics. Give me names, dates, recordings, bank accounts, bank account transfers, threats ... something. Not just "it's corrupt" or articles from journalists that are pretty much hearsay.

  13. They're both just blogs. The article is quoted verbatim here - http://www.nst.com.my/news/2016/03/131237/leave-my-son-out-match-fixing-talk-father-new-uefa-general-secretary Note it is attributed to the AFP (the Paris-based international news agency) on both pages. Also - what is there about it that is not credible? Is the son of an Olympiakos vice president not UEFA's interim general secretary? Is Marinakis not under investigation? Or do you just find Savvas' reported comments to be unreliable?

  14. No we never had this problem in the past though. We were a rabble and disorganised but we had a certain level of attacking flare. What changed under Rehhagel was that he put an emphasis on organization and defence which totally came at the expense of attacking football. In the past we had decent attacking players who could create and score some of our chances. The trade-off under Rehhagel was that we were not going to cop cheap goals like we did. A strong defence suits our style. We have world class defenders. The challenge is to transition to attack more efficiently and have a plan. The last Euro qualifying showed that we could dominate everyone in the group with possession but we were clueless when it came to creating chances and penetrating even poor defences. There were matches where we went a whole half without setting foot in the opposition penalty box or shooting with any purpose. This needs to change under Skibbe.
