I don't know who these players think they are at this point in time. Do they not know that they just came off, pound-for-pound, one of the worst qualifying campaigns in international football history? Not sure what they were thinking trying those wonder volleys that end up 30 meters too high, or little takounakia as if there on the training pitch. This should have been a statement game; one to set the tone and cement ourselves are group predators. Instead, it was a borderline embarrassment.

While we would all love to have won 8-0, that is not our DNA. We won, got 3 pts, on to the next game. We will not outscore Belgium or Bosnia. Not who Greece is.

No excuse to not score any goals in the second half, our goal difference should be way better than Bosnia and Belgium.

No matter that we scored, the team isnt working . I ve said it numerous times. Non Wingers on a winger position is a no. Different attributes and different style of play. Torosidis will get tired soon. Tzavellas is useless. Both Bakasetas and One of the Fortounis/Mandalos need out. (Mandalos seems to be more decent but Fortounis scored, u can't sub someone who scored can u?) 45' I would sub Bakasetas out for Gianniotas and Tzavellas for Holebas. I think he can play left, at least I saw that on Apoel he has.

But the decision as to what will ultimately this proposal will become, it will be taken by the appeals Council( Συμβούλιο Εφετών), a judicial body that is composed of judges, not prosecutors, which issues the relevant decree. The decree determines who is referred to trial etc... Of course, the prosecutor's proposal is a suggestion with great "weight", which in most cases is accepted by the judges who issued the decree BUT it can be overturned! ( Mbouxesas is powerful) Lastly, the indictment is NOT a condemnation! Whether he eventually gets convicted, is the court's decision. So the next step is to wait 10 days. According to the audio, there is a very small chance that this decision/proposal gets overturned. But what am I talking about...Marinakis is CLEAN. Do I have any proof? Regardless of the outcome, how can you support such a club?

I Wish we had a few more friendlies to experiment the 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation with a FULL squad of healthy players. It appears the skib however is now keen on a 4-2-3-1 with Fortunis assisting Mitro in pressuring the defenders when not in procession, and also given the freedom to drop back to assist in build up play/distribution as well - a role which he is quite effective at. After watching our last few friendlies, It would have been nice to see this group/formation get a run of games: ------------- Mitroglou -------------- --------Fortounis ------- ------------- Mandalos -------------- Choleva - Samaris - Petsos - Toro -- Socratis -- K Pap. -- Manolas -- ------------- Karnezis -------- Fortounis to be used in a similar role as he was against the Dutch - assist Mitro in pressuring defenders, drop back to assist in build up/distribution if needed. Cholevas and Toro have full clearance to move forward with defensive mids providing coverage.

Didn't watch the game but having seen the line-ups, I think Skibbe got things (more or less) right. It's clear that Fortounis and Mantalos are automatics at this point. Not too enamoured with Holevas in midfield but I can understand why Skibbe might not necessarily trust him defensively as a pure LB (yet still want to include him in the 11). Tzavellas is slow and getting slower so nothing more than a stop-gap measure until someone better comes along. It was worrying to see in some of those highlights how easily Holland carved through our midfield. I understand why Skibbe went with the Maniatis-Samaris combo but as I mentioned in an earlier thread, Maniatis is a player that needs to be phased out (especially if not playing regular first-team football). That said, who replaces him? Tachstidis? Petsos? Maybe experiment with Papadopoulos as DM again?

I we had this Mitro in Brasil totally different outcome..not only did he looked fit..played the ball down..quick feet found the right pass everytime..hiw play was 10 on 10

Good, because him and Fourtounis are the only hope they can provide the scoring punch Greece needs.
