  1. Gavros needed the same stars and moon to align for their win today, as their goals were complete flukes. I don't mind calling out PAO when needed, but let's evaluate everyone else the same way. Oly looked pedestrian today, bottom line is they won, but we should evaluate all teams in the same manner.

  2. Good thing Freeze is a doctor. He's probably been walking around with an erection lasting than 4 hours after Mantzios' performance today.

  3. Nothing wrong with that. Only if we had players with the same mentality. Instead we used to have over-30 year old old timers lookin ahead to their retirement.

  13. that's all good and well.... however it does not mean defending every single AEK player and thinking they should be in the NT...No matter if AEK fans themselves can see major deficiencies.... for example most osfp fans were against Giannoulis call up last season...we need to drop the opadika glasses when it comes to NT selections.

  14. if you are going to bother to post at least get some facts right... Molde was in 1999 and Heerneven in 2000..Maccabi was in 2002..........so these results are not in the last 9 years.... Metalist and Dnipro are good sides with bigger budgets than all greek teams.. Dnipro made the final that season(last year)...we did beat Metalist away...and were minute away from a QF berth..and the score was 1-2 not 0-1... Heerneven we finished higher than them in that group....we did get 9 points that season... and any Dutch team that makes the UCL groups are no mugs... as we finished higher than Molde in the group to... Anorthosis did beat PAO 3-1....a few weeks after beating us....and went toe to toe with Inter and Werder that season... none of these results come near Qabala.....nor am I going to mention Maribor and Estoril, Aab. Copenhagen.....etc etc etc....Didn't Tel Aviv beat PAO 3-0 a year after they beat us 1-0?

  15. It's looking like Golasa really is back. PAOK24 is calling it a "second chance" after discussions between his agent and Arnesen/Jackie-boy. Good on him, I thought he was a decent option who didn't get enough chances. http://www.paok24.com/podosfairo/50562/deuteri-eukairia-tountor-se-gkolasa

  16. This will be a great topic to re-visit in two years to see which of the young guys have taken that step up in quality ... I bet before the 2017/18 season we consider someone from the group of Cimirot/Pelka/Charisis/Jairo an indispensable player we could not imagine being outside the starting XI. I hope it turns out to be one of the young Greek players. We are in the midst of a (generational) changing of the guard on the NT and I would love to see a PAOK player being considered a burgeoning (or arrived) star on the Ethniki at WC 2018.

  17. They WILL NOT start negotiating Kace's extension until September 1st. His contract with his current management agency expires August 31st (ACE Mgmt) We refuse to deal with them (or let them earn a commission) because they have been acting as Olympiakos proxies for the last couple of years ... After we had verbally agreed with Fortounis a couple of years ago, once we faxed over the contract, the agent went straight to Olympiakos and used it to get more money. Fortounis was never going to come here -- we were completely used to get better wages for his client. They represent Tzandaris and basically brains washed him into thinking his value was far greater and steered him to OSFP -- now he is relegated to permanent loanee-status for OSFP satellite clubs. ACE represents a TON of current and former OSFP players (Manolas, Maniatis, Bouchalakis, Fetfa, Kyriakos, etc) I applaud the PAE's (Ivan's) stance in this circumstance. @Bananas / @pash - I agree it's time for Koulouris to cut his teeth at PAOK or get loaned to a SL club where he will get serious playing time at this level. Personally, I think he is (talented) but too raw for our expectations this season. I can see his career trajectory being similar to Klaous/Mitroglou. Both of those guys benefited greatly from being loaned out and refining their skills and football IQ at ages 20/21/22. Boaki I think was an investment in the future with the loan acting as a trial period. Notice that Finbogasson/VanWolfswinkle/Rudnevs/Toivonen are all in the exact same mold. Not speedsters, not great dribblers, but guys who can find gaps, receive the ball and shoot, and also have a decent aerial presence. That's truly the player they want alongside Klaous for the next year or two until Koulouris (or a guy in the Boaki mold) can be ready to take over as a primary ST-CF type.

  19. If I may? --Karnezis-- --Papastathopoulos--Papadopoulos--Manolas-- --Kitsiou--Tachtsidis--Samaris--Holebas-- --Fortounis-- --Karelis--Mitroglou-- I've been against a 3-CB back line for a while, but Tudor has convinced me with PAOK - especially if Holebas doesn't have to defend as much.

  21. With Sport Plus and Antenna Sat we have all the games covered her in the US, except for PAOK home games. The only games we will miss are the games that fall on the same time and belong to the same channel. In that case the one game will be on tape, and if they decide not to show the second game it will not be a big loss, since the channel will decide to show the game with the more popular team. The schedule for this weekend: Saturday: 19:15 - Levadeiakos - Olympiakos (Antenna Sat/Pc) 21:30 - Skoda Xanthi - AEK (Sport Plus) Panthrakikos - Veroia will not be televised Sunday: 19:15 - AEP Iraklis - Panionios (Sport Plus) 19:15 - Panathinaikos - Kalloni (Antenna Sat/Pac) 21:30 - PAS Giannina - PAOK (Antenna Sat/Pac) 21:30 - Asteras - Panaitolikos (Sport Plus) - TAPE DELAY Monday: 21:30 - Platanias - Atromitos (Antenna Sat/Pac) All times are Greek time.
