  2. Assembling a bunch of young talented players who can grow and come through together is better then wasting millions on players like Stoch, Ninis etc who cant wait to leave the place.

  3. Exactamundo. I want to start seeing a team, as opposed to a bunch of individuals. And to do that, you need players that listen, are willing to learn and willing to adapt. Vendettas don't want that.

  4. Doxa, all the players you mentioned fall into one of two categories. Sincere but injury plagued and generally past it, or vendettas that play when they have kefia. Players like Stoch I don't want near the club. I would hate to play with a guy like that on the field, where you don't know what you'll get from week to week. PAOK has tried the "bam signings" model ad nauseam over the last 3 seasons. It doesn't work. I'm over it. Seeing over payed kreata that can't or won't play. If the situation was reversed with Olympiakos, and our budget was 4x every other clubs budget, yes, it would work. But as it is, it won't. You guys keep asking for "bam" signings. They don't exist. I'm happy for the moment to try something different. If Arnesen's approach fails, well, I'll worry about that later. How long should I wait before judging him ? If the team fails, is it his fault or the players fault, or the managers fault, or the referees fault, or Marinakis fault ?

  5. I think Greece has a decent chance this year, the team was announced a couple of days ago and it looks better than the one we had at the WC last year. Looks something like this: PG: Calathes Sloukas Mantzaris SG: Spanoulis Zisis Giankovits SF: Antetokoumpo Pakanikolaou Peperoglou PF: Printezis Kaimakoglou Agravanis C: Bourousis Koufos Sarikopoulos Having Spanoulis back is big and hopefully Koufos can help Bourousis in the paint, because our back up Cs were useless last year. Its a shame Pappas is injured and perhaps it would be better to have Sofo as well. I personally would like to see Antetokoumpo at PF more, because he's pretty useless at SF standing on the 3pt line, given that he can't shoot 3s. France, Spain and Serbia are probably the main favourites going into this tournament.

  6. I've seen pictures of Somalia that look greener than that field.

  7. veria scored off of a corner. olsen should have done a better job getting to the ball instead of letting it come to him. http://www.novasports.gr/web-tv/on-demand-player/video/25093/veroia-paok-1-0-23/

  8. It's early days, but I'm liking him so far - it's all about the mentality. I hope he can really build something here.

  11. Actually there were 6 players from Panathinaikos, 5 from AEK (6 if you consider Dellas who was playing for Roma at the time), and 4 from Olympiacos just for clarification and this is what our NT today needs to be successfull. A good mix from all Greek teams.

  12. Whats the big issue if they have Turkish flags at the game? Why should that upset us? If they really wanted to bait us then they could have gayvro flags everywhere. Panathinaikos is not a political representative of Greece and should not be used as vehicle for politics. If we were to judge our opponents based on ethnicity, then that club down at the limani would be much liked and respected. :D If they want to make this game political, good luck to them. I personally couldnt care less, other than expect a 8-0 aggregate score in favour of PAO.

  15. That attitude of "no one gives a F*** about the NT" makes me laugh, its actually quite sad, I bet those that say that are the first ones to celebrate when they win in a Euro or WC. The vazelia had the most players in the 2004 team, saying "the vazelia destroyed it" just shows pure hate nothing more. Ange would be great in my opinion, it would take time with him but I think he would do well. He has also come out and said he would love to coach AEK one day, that would be awesome!!

  16. Looks like the Antonis signing is a done deal. PAOK will pay Sydney 500K. PAOK also told Antonis that he is guaranteed to be on the team until January 2016 in order to prove himself. His contract is set at 200K per season. The Toivonen rumor has also re-surfaced again. Would be a good signing in my opinion.

  17. I actually believe that Postecoglou if given free reign would be a great coach for the Ethniki. Sadly it will never happen.

  18. In perfect times pana aek provided the springboard for direct qualification with the coefficients right up ton1996 then the runs in 2000 and 2001. The reason why we all have to have playoffs is because osfp cannot upkeep the coefficients to the levels they were when we had 3 teams in cleague. 2 direct and one playoff. Thanks olympiakos you couldn't win a cl game for 10 yrs straightaway from home and kept coming last. You F***ed the league took the 20 mill every yr and did not contribute to many runs or gathered points for Greece

  19. The more i look at it once klaus returns, I feel we will we will have a pretty lethal attack. All that's left is to solidify the defense and the question at goalie. I'm predicting a pretty good season.
