It has always been good, especially for a central defender. I have previously wondered in here if he would be better suited to playing as a deep lying play maker. Unfortunately our recent inability to adequately recruit in defence means he is too valuable back there

Saw a claim on a fan page earlier that Lisci wants to keep Gomez on the team this season. That of course puts us in a bit of a pickle, since we have three (soon to be four) left backs. Gomez Taylor Baba Giannoulis Now...Taylor seems to be gone, which is fine by me. My hope is that Baba fails to impress and we finally release him. However, is there a chance we go into the season with three guys there? Would Lisci's preferred 3-man back line formation imply a higher utilization of these wingbacks? I think all three of those guys would actually be well suited to that formation.

I'm fine with that. Too slow. He'll rehab and then we loan him out to some team in Malta or something in late January, paying half his wages. Hopefully we'll hear more on Ali's situation soon.

I love it. I have really, really high hopes for Shoretire. I like the kid!

Shoretire was added to the European list of players, taking the spot of Gugegasvili who was loaned a Turkish team. Louchet will be added to the list as well once he signs with the team on Sunday.

Tom Louchet is expected in Thessaloniki on Sunday to sign with PAOK and be added to the European list.

It was decided that Meite will undergo surgery for his sciatic problem, which means he will be gone for over 3 months. At the end of the last season the surgery option was presented to Meite, but he turned it down. My prediction is that won't play another game for PAOK.
