I wouldn't get too carried away, we've been here before!

These are actually the matches that worry me more. I was happy to start on the road with the pressure off the younger team to perform. Now they come back home with big expectations. Just like last time with Denmark and Scotland. They were poor, nervous and overwhelmed in both matches. This will be the big test.

What a massive 3 points to kick us off. It really says something that they kept fighting to the end for deserved victory.

What an incredible start to the new campaign. All the hype around the new younger NT players and we rip off 2 straight wins, and finally we beat Germany. That's a statement win. I like the spirit in the team which is also a huge positive. So happy right now we are back. Pot 1 looking good for Euros. We won't need a playoff this time. All aboard to neo Piratiko!

I think they're also both sold out, which is great. Hopefully we make it our traditional cauldron. Didn't it host the Euro 2004 people vs PAOK, too? I seem to remember you angrily saying the 2004 team could probably still beat our club at the time. -edit- only being somewhat tongue in cheek when I call their reunion game an official NT game!

Toumba Stadium will host two official national team games against Holland and Germany this week. These will the 6th and 7th games that the Greek national team will play at Toumba. Should be a packed, full house depending on the weather. Would be a great atmosphere for the boys to play in, one hopefully that can shake the Dutch.

Places should be earned - love that!!! And we can play down the Germany team all we want but their players are valued three times ours.

Don't worry dutchy I still love you Tsapras was just announced as a late call up for these last two games. I'm sure just depth, but RB is one of our biggest holes these last few years...

Regarding Koulierakis, in a press conference before the Serbia match (or was it after?) Jovanovic said that he is heavily favoring players who are getting a lot of playing time at their clubs, due to match fitness, over anything else. This is probably why we wont see Mouza this comp... although i was really hoping to...

He moved in the summer to Roma and has yet to nail down a starting position. He has played twice off the bench for them so far this season. Higher expectations of defenders in Italy compared to Germany, I suspect it will take him some time to adjust and win the trust of his manager. Clearly he has been relegated to 4th choice with the Ethniki as a result of his lack of playing time, this is evidenced through Michailidis being subbed on in both games for the final few minutes.
