Hey man, there were nine hours between there. Besides, it was a slow day at work.

We apparently signed an 18-year-old from Schalke's youth squad, named Giannis Tsingos. He's a winger and SS who was born in Germany, and will be playing for our U20 side.

Hopefully they lose their next six or seven league matches ;)

You're saying this like I don't watch every game. He's playing LW only because we do not have a better option there right now. There are two new LWs incoming, so I wouldn't expect him to play there much after he returns. Did he do well in getting ahead of their defenders there? Absolutely. But you're missing the point of my argument - he's not appreciably better than another player, who spends more of his time playing in a position that Greece needs filling. Which is not to say I don't like Pelkas. I think he's the bee's knees. Hopefully in the next year or two, BOTH of those players will be no-brainer starters for PAOK. The Ethniki, meanwhile, is utterly dysfunctional and won't call either of them up until they're in their mid-30s.

What did you think of that last run by their striker, where he was tripped? Couldn't tell if he was just outside of the box, they only replayed it once. Surprisingly good youtube stream.

What that video doesn't show you, are the two dozen or so passes he made to opposing team members. He has a long way to go. Mistakidis, meanwhile, was man of the match. Again, highlights don't tell you the whole story. However, the fact that Ivic did not buy another AM as backup, shows that he will be getting his chances in his real position, up the middle.

I honestly thought he'd be loaned out and that Glykos - if his good performances lasted the season - would be sold next summer. Guess they didn't agree.

Vellidis' contract has been terminated. This was destined to happen, we don't need three "starter"-level goalies...best of luck to him.

OFI's up 2-0 now, with about 20 minutes left. Was a real battle to get that second one in. Good news for us. -edit- game ended 2-1, Xanthi progresses. Questionable non-PK call in Xanthi's favor in the last ten or so minutes. But them's the breaks. Xanthi looks quite beatable to me.

As it turns out? You literally just linked to a web site with stats that everyone else here has said are meaningless. Either way, it's a moot point here. Pelkas is going to be out at least a month, possibly as long as two.

Definitely a poor move, he's much better than that team. On the plus side, this will at least be some place where he gets regular playing time. I think I read that this deal is only through the end of the season, but can be extended to 2.5 years if the player agrees. I'm sure his agent will be working overtime to make that not happen.

Thomas Necid is Prijovic's replacement at Legia Warsaw (loan with an option to buy). Can't make this stuff up.

Korovesis has been loaned back to Giannina. Lamprou still not gone, but probably will be any time now.

I'll bet you $50 that Varela's running on fumes at this point! $100! If Chatziisaias gets no time at all this season, he ain't sticking around, I guarantee you. Ivic would be wise to put him in at least as a sub to close down easy games.

In other news, Henrique and Mistakidis will both be available for this game. Henrique apparently trained normally with the team and should slot in quickly. For Mistakidis, he will serve his suspension during our Feb 19th game vs Veria. Looks like Ivic wants to make sure he has at least some wingers available.

I'm reading now that Pelkas is out for 4-8 weeks, unclear how long Campos is out. Hopefully Enrique will be able to slot in quickly, and that Biseswar won't go down as well. On the bright side, this is a good chance for Mistakidis to have a few more starts.
