I'm reading now that Pelkas is out for 4-8 weeks, unclear how long Campos is out. Hopefully Enrique will be able to slot in quickly, and that Biseswar won't go down as well. On the bright side, this is a good chance for Mistakidis to have a few more starts.

Probably a good thing. I was just watching the sideline camera the team posted for the final Panaitolikos match, and Varela was so exhausted that he had to lie down at the final whistle. And remember that last, short run he did in the closing minutes of the game? So gassed that he nearly took a knee. He really needs the extra few days off. For fun, here's an off-the-wall lineup made up mostly of B-squad players. Pelkas is out for three weeks. It could have been much, much worse. I've seen no word on Campos, but I bet he'll be available for the next game.

Well Galatasaray being in debt is not surprising to me ;) Do you remember what Partizan's amount owed was? These are pretty significant sums. I'd also imagine Inter's new owners would be able to do something about that debt.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing our cup team play this one. Going to need some rotation with so many players out due to cards (Shakhov, Klaus, Mistakidis) and or injury (Pelkas, Campos?), and with our playing against Asteras on the 5th, we're going to need to save some player's legs (Matos, Leovac, Biseswar?). Hopefully things shake out positively for both Pelkas and Campos. Wouldn't be SUCH a miracle - 2-0 is doable at home, although highly unlikely. I'll pass out the komboloi while we wait for Tuesday's result.

Shows that the team has balls, at least. On to Larissa for our last makeup game. A win vs them will bring us into second place.

Atromitos and Giannina have played a 1:1 draw today. Only one team close to our points total (Platanias) won today, vs Kerkyra.

Very solid result, as g4 says, we could have been at least four up on them. Great changes by Ivic, great performance by the rest of the team against a parked bus. Only negative here, really, is Pelkas' injury. We still have depth there for now (Biseswar, Mistakidis), but I hope this doesn't lead to our having to play Shakhov as an ACM deep in the playoffs. And fortunately we'll have two LWs coming in very soon.

It makes some sense. Pelkas has been sloppier, but I think Ivic is concerned about covering all this extra ground. Will help with a wasteful, younger Pelkas there.
