I think he's going to own that team. As nice as it is to get him away from PAOK, he's definitely better than Hearts.

Here's a cool update - Pelkas apparently is progressing more quickly than expected, and the team has revised its estimates of his availability down to two weeks from now. Might just barely make the Schalke game, although that's unlikely.

I've always found this fascination with a 3-CB formation bizarre. Most teams don't play with two strikers, so what is the other player there for? So that Torosidis can play out of position farther up the pitch? Greece needs *midfielders*, not more defenders...and as long as players like Tziolis get the start, removing pistons from your engine is only going to hurt you. There's a time and a place for it in an ad-hoc capacity, but it requires players to know how to play in it and with each other - frankly, I don't think our coach has the time or the skill to get our guys looking good in it. If Kpaps (who I admit is one of my favorite players) wants to start, then he should prove he's good enough to get in over Sokratis or Manolas. Scoring a header or having an occasionally good game is not sufficient (although any mention of him on these forums automatically triggers the 3-5-2 crowd to come out).

Let's snag a win here and rest a little easier in the second half. I watched their away match vs OFI and wasn't particularly impressed with them. Hopefully we'll be able to thoroughly demolish them here, thus triggering a shame spiral that will drop them a few places in the league too...amirite?

Klaus's suspension is for three games. So much for him not getting hit as hard for not being captain. PAOK is also being fined 2k euros due to our having five cards in that match. Jeez.

True...and I was most surprised by that when he was saying it in the interviews that he gave around the time we were playing his then-squad in the EL. Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to troll the club like this, though.

I got a message about the site being down for maintenance just as yesterday's PAOK match was starting, but everything straightened out pretty quick. Just popped in here to rub it in everyone's faces.
