Lamiara ole Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 We will face Gabala from Azerbaijan in our first tie in European competition. This is a repeat tie (2015)which ended up in a humiliation that defies description for our team. I want revenge! 2
Antaeus7 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) Lod hits the woodwork at 10' . Edited July 27, 2017 by Molon Lave
Antaeus7 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) PAO outshot them 18-3 and only have 1 goal to show for? Edited July 27, 2017 by Molon Lave
Antaeus7 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Panathinaikos must finish better if they want to advance further into the Europa League.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Odd result sometimes a 1-0 victory. Can go either way overthere. If you manage to score in the first quarter you have a good chance to take down the spell against Azeri teams.
Ellada2004 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 PAO win 1-0, but it should have been at least 3-0 1
Ellada2004 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 PAO really should have finished off the tie today.
Lamiara ole Posted July 28, 2017 Author Posted July 28, 2017 Very unlucky! Should have been at least 3-0! The team is getting better with Ouzounidis who seems to be a guiding light !
Ellada2004 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 0-0 HT. PAO have had a few chances to get a goal and finish off Gabala!
Lamiara ole Posted August 3, 2017 Author Posted August 3, 2017 Great win today. Off to the next one. We need to get into the group stage.
Antaeus7 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Both AEK and Panathinaikos got tough draws Just got to give your everything
Lamiara ole Posted August 4, 2017 Author Posted August 4, 2017 If we advance against Athletic Bilbao we are looking at a comeback in Europe. These are the teams that I want to eliminate. Good Luck to our boys!
Ellada2004 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Let's hope they get the job done. PAO need to be playing in Europe!
Bananas Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Great victory by PAO over Qabala. Very well deserved as PAO were the superior team over both legs and it was nice to see a Greek team get one over Qabala. Unfortunately I don't think PAO can do it over Bilbao who are a class (or maybe two) above. Nevertheless, miracles happen and if anyone can do it Ouzonidis can. He really is a great manager. Good luck to PAO.
Akritis_1944 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 APOEL had no problem beating Athletic Bilbao over 2 legs a few months ago. Is this PAO team as good as APOEL though? Tough draw but not impossible.
bkizoulis Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Its a tough draw but we could compete. Last year in europa we didn't play too bad in the stages, but we couldn't finish the chances and strama's team would be gassed by the 70th minute. Plus, we never got any calls from the refs. Now with ouzonidis in charge we have a great team atmosphere. Players that care and following the coaches philosophy. We need a good away result in the first game and we could do some damage in athens.
