Another loss for the NT , this time against Iceland.

The NT of our Women started their campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2019 in France today with a 1-0 victory over Malta. Anastasia Papadopoulou scored the winner. Other opponents are Albania and Kosovo. The #1 of each group and best runner-up of all qualifying groups proceed to the next stage. Next games are on April 8th and 11th.

If Malta grabs some points off of Albania, Greece will be top of the pot. Looks like this competition uses goal differential as the first tiebreaking criteria, so unless Albania crushes Malta they're in good shape.

The women's team are eliminated after a 2-1 defeat against Albania.

50' Velaj misses the penalty that was given after the red card

90' Velaj scores 2-1 and win the group. Greece finishes as second best runner-up and is eliminated.

The U-17 NT defeated Georgia 3:0 in their second game in the Elite Round of qualifying.

They now play England to decide who will qualify to the Finals of the 2019 Euro competition.

Lost 2:0 to England and failed to qualify to the final stage.

The women's national team started the World Cup qualifying campaign with 0:10 defeat to number 5 ranked France in the game played in Patra. Our next game is against Kazakhstan in the same stadium.

The women just ended their game against Kazachstan with a 3-2 win. Two goals Spiridonidou and an own goal.
