Makes me think Branco was hired specifically with this in mind. At least this is much more orderly than Michel leaving entirely. I wonder how much of a relationship they'll really have with him going forward.

Ο Μίχελ μια χαρά τα πήγε. Και ο προηγούμενος επίσης. Και οι δύο ήταν ποδοσφαιράνθρωποι με εμπειρία. Ελπίζω να μην κατεβαίνουμε σε ποιότητα με τον Μπράνκο, θα είναι πολύ κρίμα.

Όσο και να γκρινιάζαμε για κάποιες από τις μεταγραφές που έγιναν τα τελευταία χρόνια. Με αυτούς τους παίκτες πήραμε δύο κύπελλα, μας κλέψανε ένα πρωτάθλημα και είμαστε ολοταχώς για να πάρουμε το φετινό. Μπορεί να μεγάλωσαν οι περισσότεροι, αλλά όλοι μας αγωνιστικά γίναμε αρκετά περήφανοι τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια.

Το θέμα είναι ότι το ερχόμενο καλοκαίρι θα πρέπει να γίνουν σημαντικές μεταγραφές και φοβάμαι μην έχουμε τα παλιά όπου πέντε άνθρωποι κάνουν μεταγραφές και στο τέλος την πληρώνει ο προπονητής.

No idea who this Branco is.  I’m kind of surprised the hand over wasn’t done at the end of the season.  What’s the rush ?  I can only assume Michel wanted out now.

Overall Michel has been a very good TD.  There’s been some so so signings especially this summer (none have really come good yet) but there’s also been some superb signings.

Offered his resignation to Ivan Savvidis after the Slovan game and left for Portugal. Savvidis did not accept it yet.

I wouldn't accept it. But he did have that offer from Portugal so perhaps this is just him trying to get that job.

On the face of it, due to not making it to any international competition. Just as Michel did two years ago.

So obviously we need to go back to the guys who failed us in the past!

Michel was hands down the best TD we had.  Brought in some great players.  He built the core of this team.  I think Arnesen might have been just as good but it’s not fair to compare them as they operated under different parameters.  Arnesen said he would bring in young players with potential and relatively cheap whereas Michel brought in older experienced players on much higher wages.

Either way, I’m hoping by some miracle that Michel comes back as impossible as that seems.

PAOK and Vryzas did not agree to terms in today's meeting. Looks like we are going for somebody else. I still don't understand why we are getting rid of Branco.

Σίγουρα πάντως δεν ξεκίνησε καλά ο Μπράνκο Χρήστο. Μακάρι να πάει καλύτερα η φάση...

Τι έχεις να πεις για το 2014 όπου ο Βρύζας είχε "κλείσει" τον Σάντος και ο Σαββίδης πήρε τον Άγγελο; Δεν το έχω ακούσει επισήμως, αλλά σαν φήμη ήταν αρκετά έντονη. Αν ισχύει, ήταν από τις αποφάσεις που δείχνει την αμπαλίαση του Σαββίδη.

His resume looks decent for whatever that's worth.  I wonder if there is a Vieirinha connection given he was at Wolfsburg for a few years.  Either way Branko out, there's the exit door.  He hasn't been impressive at all.  I still wish we had Michel but let's see what the future brings.

-edit- also, I find it amusing that some sites are showing all the hits he's signed. Do they not realize those players agreed to play on his teams because he worked for Wolfsburg? Big difference here.
