Greekaus
At least he should of tried to smuggle in steroids and other performance enhancing juices just to keep up with the baseball theme.

Lamiara ole
Question! Why did every Panathinaikos coach placed Vyntra in the starting 11?
Grkfreezer624
Better question.. Why has every coach (in EVERY team he played in) play Vyntra in the starting 11?
Greekaus
Cause for the majority of his career ( past it now ) he was an adaptable, give everything for the cause all purpose defender. Excelled at nothing in particular but when you need a defender to come in and do a decent job last minute they don't come much more reliable than him. Played across the back four. Very few defenders can do that.
val
Vyntra has a very good agent, just like samaris :P All jokes a side, anyone that has ever played the game would understand why vyntra gets so much love from his managers. He is a coaches player. Managing individuals, is no easy feat. When you have someone like vyntra out there, you can trust that he will carry out your instructions. These guys are usually level headed and as greekaus mentioned they give it their all. For the manager, it's like having part of themselves on the pitch. Accor6
Even better question ? How many teams has Vyntra helped win anything at all or make the back four any better? Very average player. Excellent at nothing is a very nice way to put it
Grkfreezer624
Our RB position has never looked the same since he left.................
paoboston
We haven't had a real RB since Marcus Munch. Nilsson gets honorable mention for being average/capable.
Greekaus
Wasn't Munch a left back ? Nilsson was decent for sure but not much to look at lately. Had someone called Moon play RB once.
Giourkas
Yes the German was indeed a LB. a balling left-footed cross machine... Took over for Fyssas
Asteras
vyntra was a good athlete, thats why he got a lot of playing time.
Asteras
as mentioned above he was versatile he filled in at left back under nioplia when we won the league and scored a crucial goal in Tripoli I think,he did a great job for us at left back, but he was on huge money which he never deserved and was incredibly mistake prone ,which has to do with lack of intelligence, couldnt trust him to play out from the back ,as a coach with vyntra you would say to him when you get the ball hit it long ,get rid of it,dont try and pass it. paoboston
Def agree that he is good athlete. Vyntra is mistake prone to the point of being prolific. However in the Greek world.. 1 mistake by Ninis or Tsiartas has the same value worth as 20 by Tziolis, Vyntra, Samaras, Salpi. Bizarrely I find Vyntra less mistake prone at CB than he was at RB. The switch to CB changed his career (and probably saved it). Imo, I don't think he was that bad of a CB. It hides his lack of offensive skills. For a CB, heso got the size, speed, and athleticism to keep up with most strikers.
Giourkas
I'll never forget the 0-0 score vs Barca in Athens back in 2006. Vyntra shut down some Brazilian by the name of Ronaldinho. That was the highlight the of his career!
