Good player Fountas who looks to have developed well in Austria. Good points about JVS looking to put his stamp on authority with this group but keep thinking of how important Manolas could have been playing Italy & then Dzeko... he would know them so much better than anyone else.
-
The call ups as pretty much as expected with what’s been going round. I have really mixed feelings about Manolas & Sokratis not in there but I just keep thinking, what where they like in the dressing room... I won’t lie, it does scare me that we play Italy without these two. Without knowing how much damage (or no damage) they do to the squad, I don’t think we are upgrading our defence. what will matter is our midfield which by far and away the real issue ON the field. If we have Bouchalakis & Zeca not get the ball rolling forward to a Mantalos or wingers we will continue to struggle but to @J1078 point... who will start... I really hope Mantalos starts as CAM. Not sure I posted it here, but I also think it’s time we start to play two forwards up front but maybe more so for Bosnia game. In terms of critic... Stafylidis & Bakasetas are wasted picks imo. We don’t neee 3 LB’s and Koutris is much better than Staf. Bakasetas is a kreas at this level Great to see Galanopoulos in and I hope Limnios can replay how he did vs AEK. Donis must start vs Italy.

Bouchalakis was very soft on the header goals -

From looking so promising to that... bad day... Super League is the main goal but this was a golden opportunity to at least put the club in great position to qualify for Europa -
Propaganda? Clearly offside? That's bullshit, I am 100% referring to Limnios and the only photo I have seen shows that he keeps the AEK players onside
-
That's the one! Far out! What a flash back! Have not heard that name for so many years
-
What about the onside goal he disallowed to Mantalos?
-
I do remember that, who scored the first goal?
-
I seen that just now... again... dunno if these are the matches to be doing this... Italy is in hot form... they will come at us like a bull on steroids if we have no midfield to take the fight to them
-
Great points all round... one point mentioned that is talked about here and nowhere else is Schip’s consistent mention of egos in the dressing room... and being there for the right reasons. We don’t know but maybe these guys were the capitalists of that. I ageee on Toro and Samaris, but to go into a game with a very in form Italy and not have Manolas, Sokratis & Zeca is a huge risk. Our most experienced players, our two best CB’s... no one knows the Italians better than Manolas! On the field out midfield is our issue, when you play like we do our CB’s are the ones that have to put up with the pressure... that’s where we need to work on & Zeca was the least of that problem
-
At least he adapted... happy with the draw but I leave that game not very happy. PAOK looked impressive with the ball. Limnios had quite a match. That penalty miss from Biseswar was everything tonight
-
Seen the extended highlights... incredible that you guys lost this match when you miss those many chances!
-
Hatzidiakos is a good player. I don’t believe Trianta is better than many in front of him tbh
-
They might get Miguel Cardoso now ?
-
s%$#!, Belarus, Estonia, Luxembourg and Armenia... let’s hope we can get revenge on the teams who have beaten us lately
-
What ever way you wanna look at these, one thing is credible... you win you go up. You lose you go down. Our down fall on these rankings only makes sense
-
This is true. Rather incredible how much we have shot ourselves in the foot the last 5 years where we had golden opportunities to qualify for tournaments
-
Yeah... cause you guys aren’t paranoid
-
I really feel we need to start looking at two forwards, perhaps the above two could help but they did have opportunities not long ago and failed. Here is a line up I would use ______________________Barkas __________Siovas________Sokratis___Manolas _______________Zeca______Galanopoulos Fetfa________________Mantalos____________Koutris _____________Donis _____________________Koulouris Mix and match, get in the mix: Pavlidis, Gianoulis, Natsos, Retsos, Limnios, Bouchlalakis, Kourbelis, Tsimikas, Masouras, Vasiliadis, Bouzoukis, Risvanis, Androutsos, Katranis, Kampetsis, Gianniotas, Mitroglou, Gentzoglou

Pretty decent game. You can see from watching these matches, there is not a difference in how he plays for the ethniki, if anything it really highlights our issues there which is midfield
-
This is what kills me... we make our riches when we QUALIFY for tournaments, I really see no win for EPO, even if they were looking at their own best interests, we have no money to get decent coaches so I see no benefit of the current trend and having any way on picking players like Tziolis, Tzavellas, Bakasteas etc... On top of that, look at the stadium situation, what wins is there for one one wanting to host the team and playing in front of 5,000... lose lose situation - I have said it before, this is the worst run EPO ever

Well done, great to see Fetfa on fire again
