Thanks for clarifying. We (me and JVC) have never seen eye to eye, we just come from different perspectives. He has always had a problem with where I come from though for some reason. @Nilaul from growing up in Athens, how did you come to supporting PAOK? I always find these stories fascinating. Was it a family thing, friends or just a rebellious streak? As much I enjoy gavros losing, I want to win this championship rather than them losing it, if that makes sense? Especially after what happened last year.. the most satisfying thing would be for us to go unbeaten and for Olympiakos and AEK to win every game.

Sounds about right, sadly. Does anyone have idea what the fines are for? Tried looking but the only explanation I could find was “fan behaviour”. I assume the use of of pyro and the laser pen etc but can’t think of anything else inside the stadium. It would be good to see what the breakdown and criteria is for these fines. My suspicion is that they sit down and pluck a figure out the air. But if anyone knows how to find them could you please share? Thanks

It’s like ground hog day with you on here. You post the same tedious stuff over and over again. Two clubs basically helped to ruin any competition, ultamilty lost the trust of the country and probably lost a generation or twos interest in football. But well done, just blame evryone else for not giving you more money. Your solution to all of Greece’s problems seem to be to give PAO and your friends Oly more money. Between that and how wonderfull North America is comapared to Greece, it’s litereatly all you ever seem to say.

Yesterday I was actually very nervous and worried as I took the bus from kavala back to Thessaloniki but i have woken up today and the anxiety has gone. I’m now Staying in my friends apartment which is just 2 min walk from the corner of G4/5. Looking out the balcony with the flood lights raising high in the sunshine.. it’s safe to say that I am #%€$¥@& buzzing for today. I feel it’s going to be historic.

I have been told of a once friendly relationship between the Aris and PAOK fans where they would happily stand and drinker together but this all stopped about 15 years ago (maybe he said the 80s.. i cant remember)? if not completely friendly, it was never as heated as it is now where the fans mixing would be unthinking able? Is this true? If so i would imagine the animosity towards Athens is what facilitated this? Maybe i totally misunderstood what i was being told or i just dreamed it Can anyone confirm that i am indeed delusional?

That really is a truly awful record we have against them in Athens ? I hope we don't play it too conservative though. Would love to go down there and smash them. I think the players will be right up for it after last year and like the final, show them who the best team in Greece are. Get the win and then all focus on Gavros.
