  1. I will be surprised if AEK get a point in the group stages.
  2. With out breaking the bank or guaranteed champions league football then I'm not sure which top players people expect us to get. That's the reality at the moment.
  3. Absolutely gutted after last night and so disappointing that it had to end the way it did with so many individual errors. Make no mistake though, there was no embarrassment at all.. we played brilliantly for the most part and looked like we were going to dominate them early on. We shot ourselves in both feet and that's the hardest thing to take. The way our fans stayed to the end and kept singing is one of the reasons that this club is so special and unique. It must be immense for the players knowing this is the backing they get. There should be no fear for them with that support behind them, as long as they give their all. As frustrating and gut wrenching as that was, i doubt anyone will be hurting more than the players are right now. Win the league this year, become heroes and keep building for champions league level and a sustainable future. I just hope the manager can pick them up in time for the league.
  4. That's me just finished work! Couldn't have been less productive today due to the excitement of tonight. The atmosphere tonight will be on another level if things go well.
  5. Keep the f@cking ball and pass it about!!! Come on PAOK Keep the head for 10/15 Mins
  6. Is there a worry that a new stadium could have a negative impact in anyway? Toumba has such a rich history which you can feel. Also, the way that the fans (especially Gate 4) manifests itself is so unique.. is there a worry that a new stadium could sanitise this? In scotland, England . New stadiums with seating, too much security and fans being controlled too much etc have been a contributing factor in killing the atmosphere. Maybe I am overly worried because of experiencing this in Scotland. I just would hate to think something being lost with a new stadium. The idea of a stadium with a roof full of PAOK fans is pretty frightening and would be deafening. Harder for smoke to disperse though...
  7. I'm over for 4 weeks in September and October to get married so if i can get AEK at Toumba (looking like September 23rd) then that will make me very very happy!
  8. Stunning!!! My screen froze so missed the replay. Were his hands all over him and was a penalty correct or was it soft?
  9. Savvidis is the boy. Mentioning his name alongside the other three is blasphemy.
  10. The 'kissing the badge' in the photo is cringeworthy.
  11. Gutted about Biseswar.. the sooner he is back fit, the better. We could have really done with his presence against Spartak.. especially for the home tie.
  12. Just tried to have a look and could only find AEK and Oly.. cheapest season tickets priced at 100 (AEK) and 145 (oly) for an adult. I couldn't find prices for Panionios /Xanthi etc
  13. I applaud PAOK for their pricing policy. For my season ticket at Dunfermline (the second tire of Scottish football) i renewed mine for £290... so 377 USD or 324 EUR. and that is for the cheapest tickets and and our equivalent of standing in Gate 4. I know the situation in Greece is not comparable to Scotland but i think that the pricing is far better at PAOK. I have no idea what the rest of the league is like though..
  14. Does anyone know what would happen if there was a semifinal draw involving CSKA and Shakhtar? Would there be no draw as they would still keep them apart? Fenerbahce would be "interesting". As long as we get through Spartak then I hope they beat Benfica.
  15. I am sure i read online that they said only 500 tickets were remaining at one point.
  16. Aaaargh!! That's not good news IMO and I don't like this at all.
  17. As has already been said, we should have scored a couple more last night and conceding that goal (a poor goal to concede) could turn out to be a bit of a disaster... incidentally I hate the away goal rule! Hopefully Diego is back for the return leg also as we could do with his composure and creativity.
  18. This is the line up i have seen.. Pschalakis Matos Crespo Varela Vieirinha Mauricio Canas Jaba Pelkas Liminios Prijovic
  19. I meant 3-1 over the 2 legs. I have a really good feeling about this. Last seasons mistakes will not be repeated as I think we are a different beast now.
  20. 2-0 first leg and 1-1 in Basel. Thats my prediction. We are PAOK and we will persevere.
  21. We will win this tie 3-1. PAOK is a sleeping giant and we are being woken.
