  1. Haha i just spat coffee all over my keyboard
  2. Hello @zboyer I will be traveling down from Edinburgh, if that helps?
  3. I'm going to assume its probably to do with wages. Maybe PAO are paying all Kace's wage, where as Atromitos are only pay a small percentage?
  4. Massive game tonight and I'm really getting nervous now. Probably because i have not seen PAO play this season so not sure what to expect. They have had a good start so far but i'm hoping for an early (ish) goal to settle any nerves and then steam roll them.
  5. Sorry, I never said he let the club die. I was quoting you where you had insinuated he was prepared to let the club die and go out of existence.
  6. @PAOTHEGREAT "he finally but his foot down and basically showed that he was seriously thinking of walking away, and allowing the club to go bankrupt" So he was happy to see your club die?
  7. @PAOTHEGREAT laughing at PAOK is like a homeless man laughing at your curtains!
  8. Why do some people have such a low opinion of George Savvidis? He seems to love the club and does as much as possible to promote and give PAOK exposure. Sometimes he is a little too enthusiastic and gets over excited on social media but that's hardly a crime. Maybe he has a past that I'm not aware of but he appears to be harmless enough?
  9. I totally disagree, i think everyone has already seen the benefits from the foreign referees and i believe there is a trust that if they make a mistake then it will be an honest one. The history of cheating, intimidation, corruption, mistrust and incompetence is so deep rooted that i think for now the only way forward is with foreign referees. ask yourself whey they're are not constant accusations of cheating officials in European games involving Greek teams? Mistakes are made but the reactions are measured and not laced with conspiracy or mistrust. You just have to look at the game against AEK last season where the officials seemed to enjoy and actually revel in the drama and controversy. It was a joke and frankly embarrassing for every one connected to Greek football other than AEK apparently. Also the fact you have referees that support Oly and and a member of Gate 7 being allowed anywhere near a game involving PAOK (never mind PAOKv Oly) then it really will never improve. It's an absolute disgrace this is allowed. You keep saying that Olympiakos are so will run and that everyone should aspire to be like them but they have a long history of corruption, bribery, match fixing etc.. The owners have been a disgrace and the previous one banned from involvement in football. How can you say they have been run well when they have constantly cheated and screwed over others to get to where they are and to stay at the top? As has previously been pointed out, Stockholm syndrome is my explanation for your admiration towards them. Money is the difference. Mainly from the champions league and they have used every dirty trick in the book to make sure they keep getting it.
  10. How many points have we been deducted for this incident? Savvidis to have his ban lengthened as well no doubt.
  11. I don't disagree that there is a lot of 'the blame game' in Greece (much of which is justified to be fair). However, Corruption has been rife and to try and sweep it under the carpet and pass it off as paranoia and 'Greeks love to blame someone else' is just ridiculous. After decades of corruption, bias and match fixing is it any wonder there is no trust? I was not trying to say that PAOK are now the best team in Greece because of 3 games with foreign officials, I was simply stating that it's interesting that we have won all three and there has been no controversy in either. After the shambles of Greek officiating over the years, surely you agree that its been a breath of fresh air?
  12. That was probably the best you have played this season and that was us (possibly at our worst) playing well below what we can.. and yet we still beat you. Interesting that in all the games with foreign officials, PAOK have a 100% record and no controversy... who'd have thought it?
  13. Yes, i honestly believe that. We played Chelsea, AEK, Aris and Olympiakos in a short space of time and came away with 2 wins against the next two best teams in the league. You can comfort yourself that we played badly but that's the point, we didn't play well yet and we still won. It's funny that other teams fans are trying to swing 2 wins for PAOK as a negative.. but that just highlights how desperate the other teams have become. We have maximum points from all our games and the best start to a league campaign since the 1950's ( correct me if I'm wrong). If we can do all of this playing poorly and below our capabilities then you must be petrified at the thought of a PAOK on top form.
  14. Can’t argue with that. In my opinion Biseswar should absalutley get given another deal and I will be gutted and shocked if he isn’t. He is so talented and different to anything else we have. His vision, movement, weight of pass is second to none at the club. He might not have the legs or engine of others but I think with his ability to read the game and space, he more than makes up for it and gets away with it.
  15. The only time I worried was when they had a free kick or a corner. They did seem to have some considerable hight and size on us but still, runners were not picked up and too many either ball watching expecting someone else to deal with it or too busy watching ‘their man’ rather than the actual ball and then not dealing with either... basically we were brutal at defending set peices. Paschalakis was outstanding last night and made some world class saves. He gets over excited sometimes and causes his own problems but if he didn’t have those blips/faults then he wouldn’t be at PAOK. His passion is really something to be admired and I love it! One thing that did annoy me last night was how many times we were caught of side. So many attacks broke down due to it. Regardless of whether we were lucky or not, I couldn’t care less and to get any result last night was always going to be very difficult. Especially after the run of games we have had recently. I’m absalutley delighted and if we can go to Athens/Piraeus , not play well and get a win.. well that just shows how far this team has come in recent years.
  16. Probably tthe worst performance so far but hardly surprising given the fact we have had Chelsea, AEK and the far more important game of Olympiacos on Sunday. Aris were very well drilled and were quick on the counter but even after the sending off I thought we would go on to win. I also agree that Biseswar is a class above but think the energy and commitment of Pelkas is needed in the middle, certainly against the better teams. I would have biseswar starting at every opportunity though whether through the middle or out wide.. I love the guy! A disapointing result and performance but I would much rather we save ourselves for the big one on Sunday.
  17. I think some of the negative comments are way over the top. Did no one see how strong Chelsea’s line up was? Honestly, what did you expect to happen.. especially with the far more important game v AEK and argueably ARIS coming up. Let’s be serious here, we could have easily snatched a point at the end. We could have also been battered but you need to ride your luck in these matches. I felt they were just too big, strong, fast etc and we struggled with there movement and the speed at which the moved the ball but we defended very well at times. Last night I left Toumba proud and there was a moment in that second half where the stadium was literally shaking.. it felt like we had them on the ropes and panicking a little. Finally, at last I got to witness a ball being kicked after the shambles of last season! All I can say is, we clearly have our fair share of nutters in our support but standing on gate 4a in a packed Toumba is a feeling like no other and so hard to describe. Without this crazy element I’m not sure that same feeling and atmosphere would be achievable. Everyone I met was absolutely first class with me and I cannot wait for tomorrow night. I was told that everyone was calm and relaxed compared to what’s to come v AEK.. should be something special then!
  18. I prefer stadiums to be industrial, imposing and intimidating stadiums with lots of concrete and steel etc. fans close to the pitch and right on top of the players with a roof that keeps the noise in and amplifies it. So many modern stadiums are now geared towards corporate friendly aesthetics with glass and wide open spaces.
  19. Well done Panionios fans! Unless i am missing something, the donkeys are treated like Sh1t. The photos and videos i have seen (particularly form Santorini) are a disgrace.
  20. Haha This is true.. she gave me the disease for which there is no cure. Its a shame that we play Chelsea before AEK but we have a good squad and that’s what it’s there for. We are far stronger where as they have got weaker imo (that may not be the case but they lost their best player and have not replaced him) Incidentally, I watched Olympiakos v Burnley and don’t think we have too much to fear. Burnley are not great and should have battered them.
  21. Perfect fixtures for me. Get married on the Saturday, Chelsea on Thursday and then AEK on Sunday.. My Wife-to-be is going to love this
  22. Started off at Partizan so a good chance he supports them. Also must have played and trained with Prijovic in the serbia squads so hopefully that's a good sign. Sounds like he had loads of potential but injuries plus inconsistency has set him back. he's been out of favour at Liverpool after them having high hopes regarding him. Hopefully hes had a boot up the arse and sees us as his chance to reignite his career.
  23. Looks like we are close to signing Liverpool and Serbian player Lazar Markovic according to the media in Liverpool. "PAOK will have beaten Anderlecht, Standard Liege, and Olympiacos for the talented but frustrating player."
  24. Defeatist? I would view that as good management. The players that made mistakes will be distraught and will be needing picked off the ground. The last thing they need is to be publicly blamed and criticised. What is the point in highlighting individuals and their errors in public, hours after a game? What good would come of that? They will talk about it in private and stick together which is important, make no mistake that everyone in Greece is against us now! The spirit in that dressing room is key and seems to be fantastic.. Lucescu will be a big and very important part of that.
