lol tziolara

this guy is our second CM next to Samaris.Trust me. they WILL get a chemistry together. He's left footed to, it's a no-brainer. We saw what this guy is capable of vs. hungary 4-3. Can decimate teams with his long passing skills and vision.
-
yeah at the same time I'm wary of even cyprus. i'm saying we have the raw material to do it. most of our key players are in peak form.
-
if toro is unavailable and all 3 of our top cb's are available i think we should just slot one of them as rb like sokratis. then if we actually want some more potent attack put in fetfa or gianniota

Kostas Mitroglou ‒ (now playing for Aris)
georgelaz replied to js1000's topic in Greek Players Abroad
this guys a stud. been saying it all along. -
i'm very positive about this team. I think we will make it to the world cup and go very deep as well. perhaps top 8. we have really good players for every position, as long as we stay injury free we can do this. I think karelis and mitroglou should play together up top. they provide different things as strikers.

sokratis should obviously be the captain though. by the time toro comes out of the picture someone might be a more relevant captain than sokratis very frustrating

grkcdn knows what he's talking about, communication style could be a bit more diplomatic with others, cause we're all brothers here but still i really like his commentary personally I talking about this with my dad, this is why the jews in general are succesfful than greeks. us greeks have been fighting each other since the ancient times (spartans vs. athenians) whereas the jews always look out for each other. we gotta have a stronger brotherhood guys and not throw each other under the bus.

I forgot about that. Yeah Ninis and Mitroglou did work great together, they'd probably be better than ever now with their abroad form. Fortounis is very solid as a LCAM almost double footed so we can play both effectively.
-
to me it's 1. holebas 2. tzavellas 3. stafylidis what about having kpaps manolas sokratis (as RB) and put Torosidis as LB (he did this for us in his early NT days, can't recall how effective it was tho) Not gunna be good for us offensively, but defensively which is what the focus at the back should be, we'd have other teams on lock down imo

boucha needs at least one good season with oly before i'd consider him a starter. i'm 80% sure that he'll accomplish that this season. Samaris, Mantalos, Ninis, Fortounis are all in form and should start. we only really need samaris as a dm really unless we're playing belgium Tachtsidis is still way better than Petsos, Bouchalakis, Tziolis if you ask me. Maniatis should start if he's got a club cause he works great with Samaris and does a lot of endurance work for us Fortounis Ninis Mantalos samaris mayhaps

karnezis with another shutout in a row against milan this time. 1-0 udinese he's getting a lot of bigger club attention now because of his dominance. and an in form card for fifa. now an 80! http://www.futhead.com/16/players/36056/orestis-karnezis/ we might have the most individually talented ethniki of all time. the task now is to pull it all together. manolas, sokratis, mitroglou, samaris, fortounis all 80+ in forms (also gekas)

good point on tzavellas. he's a class above everyone else in set pieces. fortounis can cross as good as him though. free kicks tho, tzavellas is ahead of everyone by quite the margin holebas was one of our breakout stars at world cup 2014. we need him in there. when he bombs in from the left he gives opponents fits. i think people take advantage and give him a hard time because of the language barrier. but skibbe is german and holebas speaks german so not sure how much of an excuse i can givem
-
lol don't know how often this is done, but skibbe uses 'we' a lot when referring to the NT even when referring the losses to faroe islands psychologically means he's taking huge responsibility towards the team, a very good sign. considering himself part of the unit. that's something that santos didn't even too at times, who would dissociate from us when we weren't doing well santos basically learnt greek tho, doubt skibbe ever will

I wonder if his leanness has to do with his peak form. I can't put my finger as to why it would help though, he still plays like a skillfull big man. he does seem more mobile tho I always said on here have faith in the guy, he's a class above our other options. 1789. I love your posts but I am completely opposed to Samaris not playing for the greater good of the team. I appreciate you thinking outside the box for that though. Samaris is our best midfielder hands down and will be for the next 5 years! (bold prediction) He is a stunning athlete but he's not just relying on his physicality and athletism. He reads the game very well (he's capable of interceptions at any moment) and has potential to be a good maestro starting plays deep from our side AND he's a good makeshift CB to patch up our dodgy left side! We absolutely need him in there. Not to mention he's the stud of studs and people need to know how handsome greek men are! ;) a nice midfield could be Mitroglou Fortounis Ninis Mantalos Tachtsidis Samaris I think tach and samaris just need time to gel, they're not that similar besides Samaris maestro abilities, tach gets the edge on there. Loading up the attacking mids with 3 will give mitro plenty of creativity and he's double footed so we're very lucky to have him up there. um did ya'll see kpaps in there? kid is a BEAST of beasts. even if the kid misses a year of football valton mesa and watch. he's pretty much a natural at this point. his headers are like loukoumi I say the same for fetfa. fetfa can play in 2nd division gilbratar, he will always be an amazing winger option.

nice to see he's back. shame that we don't have him in the squad for wcq especially now that fortounis got knocked
