Lyko and Bouchalakis lots of mistakes sold the ball in the midfield. Stafylidis used to be very strong offensively helping the team up front as a LB. Lykogiannis really did nothing compared to him. It's just that Stafylidis makes the left flank work much better and the comparison is bad for Lykogiannis. We were only attacking from the right flank.

Ιt is indeed possible that Skibbe was "saving" players like Lazaros , Zeka , Donis for Hungary. I hope I am right. Lykogiannis never had an impact whenever playing. Stafylidis on his bad day is beast compared to him. I am afraid that if Zeka is fit the one getting kicked from the line up - despite being very good (defensively at least) is gonna be Kourbelis.

Yah Mitroglou and Bouchalakis will be fine. We ll need our defensce vs the Huns we definately need 1 point vs them in 2 days at least. They re better than Estonia but losing to Finland is probably a gift. I have always been saying to be wary of Finland they re the only non Kafenio in our Group apart from us.

He won't. I think he himself knows that he doesn't have more than 1 year with the NT. Less as a starter definately.

Theoritically if we scored on every opportunity we should have (Mitroglou Dokari - Mantalos 4 minute ) we wouldn't need to pause anything. But the match being 90' only 0-1 it wasn't working for us offensively. We needed to pause and thank god we did.

Tziolis unironically was the only good player apart from our Centerbacks and Goalie doing the obvious stuff in the last 10 minutes. He can pause the rhythm and he was mistake prone unlike Bouchalakis. He did no bad pass and saved us fro many difficult situations. Stop putting the hate just coz Tziolis is Tziolis. Very good sub that helped maintain calmness in the lines when everyone was just hoping it would be over soon.

We were better than the 0-1. Estonia only looked decent when we slowed the rhythm. Without Mitroglou going off and Fortounis when he had the after-goal-momentum we d ve found a way to put in more. Koulouris should have been subbed for Mitro Bakasetas did literally nothing. Many chances created, no klwtsoskoufi from the NT and hoping Mitroglou gets a header. As a Laz hater I kinda like this lineup. Prefer Mantalos on for free kicks and long shots maybe. the midfield is a ? coz both players havent realy started for the NT in an official match. Barkas Id rather have Karnezis he is in form as well but Barkas definately deserved a start and in a match vs Estonia with minimum threat it's a good thing to trust him. Donis over Mantalos would be fine but you guys would b!tch about anyone Skibbe pointed as a starter , like what you re doing right now.

Montenegro and Romania are nothing compared to Bulgaria and Albania. Finland is good too in our group. Mark my words. If we re gonna miss 1st to someone it's gonna be Finland. I like the idea of Bouchalakis. Dude has been solid the last 1+ season with Nottingham and Olympiakos and his transition game is fine. Good away shot too. I think he gives something that Samaris couldn't. Offensive danger for the opposition. I don't rate the player but I think for games vs worse opposition he is what we need.

I think Kourbelis will get a shot in the games. Probably has had more matchtime than Tziolis Karnezis Bakakis - Manolas - Sokratis - Lykogiannis Zeka - Kourbelis Lazaros - Fortounis - Donis Mitroglou Sub Lazaros for Pelkas is a must. Bakakis is better defensively than toro at this stage of Toro's career but if we need a goal just put Torosidis in his experience will help and he is at sync with the rest of the team. There are a total of (in my opinion) 4 decent teams (us included) in this league who we d rather avoid till the final at least. As I mentioned, winning this Group and reaching a final would mark this mini campaign as successfull. We d have proven that we re better than this C division. So these 4 teams are Greece , Bulgaria , Serbia and Albania. I would much rather not face any of those 3 until the final. So we would be hoping teams like Norway , Slovania , overcome Bulgaria. Montenegro or previous pelates mas Romania dethrone Serbia and Obviously a Scotland/Israel (I know blahblah Scotland footballing nation blah blah just look at their roster they re not good) stealing the first spot from Albania.

My man. The problem that you do not seem to be realising is the fact that Skibbe wants his team physical. A bit of a reminder 2 goals vs Estonia 1 goal vs Cyprus 1 goal vs Croatia were all set piece goals Add to those 1 goal vs Bosnia from a set-piece like out that ended up in Tzavellas' feet. 1 goal vs Belgium where Tachtsidis' height played a role into winning the ball in the midfield and heading a cross to then alone Mitroglou 1 goal vs Belgium where I think it was Stafy - threw a cross inside the box. I am not even counting the goals vs Gibraltar. It's pretty obvious that our creation is minimum when playing teams like Bosnia and Belgium. Skibbe knows it too wow that's his sin? Here is where a Coaching team of Mourinho , Rehaggel at his youth , Ouzounidis, Donis (apparently hes quite good considering how pao is performing and how apoel is performing now that he left) and Gattusso (mostly for the memes) would be considered terrible. People have their minds in teh fact that we won a Euro 14 years ago so we should be playing like Barcelona by now. Skibbe is a goat. Tziolis stuck in his brain is a bad thing - could be managerial issue / EPO ain't really as clean as we'd hope / so you can't really blame the guy - although I ve said numerous times that apart from Kourbelis being more pacey there is not much that would change if we kicked Tziolis out of the team. We should be able to qualify to the final of this tournament Nations League, and there playing a match with a decent side like Serbia could see us winner or loser , no hard feelings it's a good campaign if we manage to reach the final. But yeah. Dude is just paying the prize of comming to coach the Greek NT where there is minimum Greek talent. One 6 and 8 making a decent career could unlock lots of opportunity for this team.

Shows mature enough to me to be given a shot vs Estonias and Hungarys (aka easy 4 points / 2 matches theoretically). **You all know I ve been a bit of a Lazaros hater but yes. 4 goals in 4 matches in EUrope (or 5 I can't remember) are quite much. Pelkas is gonna be used as a sub saddly even tho he (equally to Kourbelis) is a captain in a big Greek side. Mitroglou and no other CF?I suppose Skibbe is hoping to have the match done by 70-80 when Mitroglou gets tired and he can sub him off for a more defensive player. You re wrong Vlachodimos has been pretty shaky even tho he s definately deserving a call up right now. I would go with Karnezis. Manolas Sokratis are locks and with Stafylidis injured I can expect Lykogiannis to start or Tsimikas RB is an issue I would suppose with Toro being "not in form" Bakakis should integrade in the team. We re playing vs Estonias and Hungarys so I don't think we ll have much of an issue defensively at least. Torosidis creativity is definately needed after 60-70 but I say give the man a rest, he is 33. Zeka is a lock in the midfield as he is the only one with so far rhythm. Kourbelis should be starting too I believe but well I ain't Skibbe. Ensude with 6 players that we don't concede and let the other 4 put a goal or two. Maybe Samaris too? He is been training and participatingi n Benfica missions in UCL and the USA Friendlies but not much playtime. Fortounis Lazaro (even if this saddens me a lot) and Mitroglou are locks. Marseiile fans begging for Germain to be dropped and Mitroglou to start. Maybe LW Donis? Pelkas will definately play either on the wings or a 10. Probably sub. And I expect Limnios to also be called up. I think we shold realistically, now that the team has synced under Skibbe, to get minimum 4points in the 2 first games. They are both away and I believe both opponents might possibly try to win us , giving us the opportunity to score, since they wont be parking it. In my humble opinion no anxiety will be around the team since not many things are played for in this tournament and it's just it's first year. Definately want to do well for prestige though.

Honest opinion? I would rather have a very tough from pot 1 and a team worse than us from pot 2. This way we secure that the pot 2 team would be destroyed by the pot 1 meanwhile we ensure that being a successfully defensive orientated team, at least the goal difference would be in our favor, if we could not bring a world class result by drawing them , like we did with Belgium. Two mediocre temas like a Sweden-Romania could unironically steal points from each other making it more complex. Knowing that you have one opponent for second spot than two opponents for top two spots makes it difficult to predict how it goes.
