We have been so unlucky in this run honestly I believe Karma owes us a good draw. Retsos and Donis were injured in all matches. Skibbe fcked up by putting Tzavellas vs the Finns but Sokratis got injured. Manolas if I remember corectly was injured in 3 out of 6 matches (today is the 4th). Maybe we can make it in the Qualifiers but otherwise start building for the 2022. Edit: Not to mention Stafylidis who is my favorite player and Kourbelis always getting injured for the 2nd matches of each international break. Nikopolidis taking the youngsters in U-21 for the qualifying hasn't helped as well. Bad season.

I don't have low expectations. We cant play minors and westruggled in the Santos era as well. I remember that 1-0 narrow win vs Liechtenstein. We can't open closed defences. Play Mantalos at 8 maybe is not bad. Masouras / Lamprou wingers who deserved a call up right now imho. Take Lazaros too but that guy is a flop and at the end of his career. However, if the hunns win Estonia and we drawthey re back at the game with: 10 Finn 7 Gree 6 Hunn Winning makes it 9/9/6 and us above the Finns coz we won them (in uefa first tiebreaker is between matches). Which means that even if we draw Finland at home we stay on top and all we have to do is win poor man's Estonia at home. Winning tonight makes us first at the most possible and realistic scenario. If the Finns try to win as well we have a lot of chances to score more than once. Their defence is Estonia- Hungary level. If they park the bus we clearly are looking at a draw.

You don't start a match with the mentality that "I need to hunt for a goal fast" because it backfires (whole euro 2016 campaign). Ofc after 70 if things are rough and let's be realistic, if we don't win tomorrow the pressure is gonna be on us in the last 2 matches that are gonna be must win. Whoever saw last day's match and thought , hey these fullbacks deserve to start once again is clueless. With Stafylidis off and Lykogiannis injured as well (i dont even like Lykogiannis but he was better than Tsimikas) we don't even have a Left Back that can make a pass. Koutris should ve been picked over him imo. Tsimikas is good don't get me wrong. But he is not ready for the men NT his panic and inexperience showed. Yesterday's match is the reason why Bakakis was not called up when Torosidis could play. Stop overreacting for fuqs sake. Some players spend their whole life in GSL because this is their level. I disagree with anyone syaing we weren't a threat. this match we were unironically much better than vs Estonia Offensively. Pelkas shot that got saved. Mitroglou header barely out. Mitrogou shot from the penalty area. FOrtounis I think? Shot that got into corner and then again another manolas header. And what did you see from the Hunns. One funny goal at first half that was fast equalized and then 1,5 minute of domination which led to a goal. I don't think they really have ANY OTHER highlights. And although Hunns are nothing too decent they are not Kafenio. The same people crying about "better football but bad result" are the ones who were "not convinced" when Skibbe was winning Cyprus and Estonia with 0,5 goal and that it's not only the result that matters it's the appearance of the team. Greeks are always unprepared in September. I don't remember many good official matches weve played in September. Skibbe realised that klwtsoskoufi with Torosidis crossing hoping Mitroglou gets a shot was not good. He is the best one we have so bashing him there is no need. Bouchalakis I stated previously as well, the guy is liked from Olympiakos and Skibbe because he is not afraid to make the risky pass. If such a pass happens it can unlock a defence and make defenders shaky. Of course risky passes mean also fail passes. The fact that he does not seem to be psychologically affected by his bad passes is not bad. We need such a player not afraid to take a risk playing vs minnows. YES both Hungary and Estonia and even Finland are MINNOWS for us. And we ll prove it by finishing top of the Group. Kourbelis I like. In fact I think he and Bouchalakis compliment each other. The team is rolling better than previous qualifiers so I think they re the reason for that. Torosidis was not bad actually. His age shows but he was not bad. Barkas tried nothing to comment on him. So overall I want Lazaros out. Skibbe why bash him? He put a line up you all agreed to like. He had a 3rd sub saved in case of need but Manolas injury f*cked him up as well. 3 matches at home left. We need to stomp Hungary at home to be above them in case of a tie due to the between-us results. The finns are the best team in this Group after us but I think they will play openly vs us seeing they re having momentum and that can cost us (as it should have cost vs the Hunns). If this match ended up with a win you'd say a 9/10 performance. If it ended up with a draw you'd say a 7/10? Now that it's a loss you re bashing playhers whoactually played well. See the matches vs Estonia and Cyprus in the last qualifiers. Skibbe has put a lot of work to create link between the players offensively and try and play tiki taka. Give him some credit too.

What's the point of getting anxious about being 3rd at this moment, when after 3 matches you can end up being first? It currently just means we need to narrow down the losses from the Finns which is nothing IMPOSSIBLE with the full meaning of the word.

Next match is Hungary again Stomp them. and then it's just the Finns. A sweet home game vs Estonia to finish the run. We re still in it. I'd rather take a set back with good football that proves that "we re getting there" with there being playing component vs mediocre teams that give us possession. WE CAN'T BE UNLUCKY FOR THE WHOLE 6 MATCHES. We were already in 2/6.

I actually decided to give Bouchalakis my whole attention. Reason why I like him : He is not afraid to do the hard pass. The one that if it goes through has a huge possibility to unlock a defence. This is also probably why Skibbe and Olympiakos like him. He is not afraid to make a mistake and he does not seem to be psychologically affected by doing it. Reason why one should not like him: He will eventually make mistakes after so many trials of hard passes, which can destroy an attack or even bring the oppossition on the counter. Maybe with maturity he will be better. More involvedi n the game than Tachtsidis and has similar attributes to tachtsidis. I think he should be considered a top choise when we wanna play vs minnows (yeah we lost today but they re still minnows) like Hungary and Estonia.

Bro halftime chances were 4 on target for us and 2 outside. They were not parking the bus till 65. Please stop acting that miserably over a match. Skibbe made this team work better than the previous qualifiers offensively. Good passes good katoxi trying to unblock a defence. 2 good chances for the Hunns 2 goals. It happens.

Good match performance bad result. Take it guys. Hungs only dominated the game for 1,5-2 minutes before the 2nd goal. Bad things happen. Currently Vellios and Karelis have no playtime they re no jokes to be fair and can replace Mitroglou better than Koulouris or bakasetas. Donis is a winger nowadays last game he played CF was 1,5 season ago in Nice. if he has to run for it tho he can do it but we didn't have a chance yet. Skibbe has nice tactics with the midfielders cooperating for chances i give him that. I like the coach year after year he seems to begetting better like wine.
