Also I didn't say anywhere we played well and we lost. We played terribly. But playing the next match well and not qualifying is gonna be a psychological boost for the players that stay. Also, take this as an advice. Do not be so psychotically attached to the National Team. Cheer them support them love them like we all do here but don't act like that because I ve done it quite a few times younger (euro 2016) and I know what's it like your mood whenever u see a ball to be based on the NT. Τωρα οσο για τους μικροτερους σχετικα σε ηλικια Διαμαντακος Βελλιος Οικονομου που δεν εχουνε δωσει καποια ιδιαιτερη βοηθεια νομίζω και εκεί θα πρέπει έστω στα φιλικά που νομιζω ειναι το Nations League Που είπατε, να κληθούν κάποιοι αλλοι ανερχόμενοι παίκτες έστω να μεινει μια εντύπωση στους προπονητές. Εαν ο Σκιμπε φύγει πιστεύω θα δουμε Παλι Χολεμπα για κανα χρονο ακομα και Σιοβα στην Εθνικη.

I agree with u on some call ups though*, as I said though, many of the players will wave us goodbye afther tomorrow. I insist on Skibbe staying. After a couple of friendlies he might pick the right players for the next campaign which will be much easier (if we end up 3rd we ll be playing play offs with teams like Bosnia at worst), *Those are Bakasetas , Vellios , Diamantakos , Maniatis , Tziolis ONLY. And I still believe Tziolis needs to be in the squad but not be fielded.

We have quite a few promising players as well who are literally dragging panionios and Atromitos to the top. I can accept missing a tournament but I refuse to believe we ll end up like Bulgaria and Romania who haven't had decent football since the 1990s and are lost there. I hope we build up to become something like Belgium. Out of nowhere in a period of 5-6 years they went from 0 to hero. And we re not even close to 0.

It's a brain game. If we score fast and they panic anything can happen. But by anything I mean 95% of chances on a result that does not allow us to qualify (example them scoring after us or us not scoring 3) and maybe 5% chances that everything goes as we d love it. To be honest though. Croatia is a team either too high or too low. 2 days ago everything went as they'd love and want it. Maybe a bad appearance in the beginning of the match sends them in troubles, but as previously mentioned, we re thinking with our heart because we don't wanna believe the inevitable.

I prefer Taxi if we have proper wingers because he is the only one who can create from behind. However im still not believeing we ll pull a 3-0 through. Well you guys know what they say. New year new me and shiet. We currently can't hope for a success. We can only hope for a buildup process. Frankly ask a few of the players to retire like Maniatis , Tziolis (honest opinion these are the only ones who were undeserved). Also kick a few players who really don't deserve a call up until they do (Diamantakos,Vellios,Bakasetas,Oikonomou are a few). Take a new coach, introduce Holebas back since he got a couple of years left in him and add young kids on the wings. Teach them to help their fullback in their lane with defence and voila. I am currently HOPING to see such a NT in the Euro Qualifiers and let them end 3rd or 4th it doesn't matter. Use players who play the game and are thristy for glory and recognition. Also stop overanalyzing it. It was honestly just a bad match. The fact that it was such a terrible performance since 2012 really tells me only one thing "we are not that bad". And I trully believe it. We are not as bad as a team conceding 4 to a Croatia. But this is sport and such things happen. If Skibbe was as idiot as u re all opposing he would ve failed in the matches vs Belgium and Bosnia. In 4 matches he proved to be above expectation (because honestly , only a few non-Greeks expected us to finish 2nd). In one match we lost. It's all a part of the sport mates. I find it Hard for Tziolis being 34 when the euro campaign starts still remains elidgible for the NT. That is my point bro. People were dying for Santos to sub Katsouranis and Karagounis off. And we really havent created one midfielder half as decent as them. Samaris trully came close but he is not the type of 6 Katsouranis was. He can't create from the back.

Skibbe will be gone no matter what EPO has stated this. If we fail to qualify he is out. Some will think his firing is reasonable, others will say it was unfair. I am one of them defending him but the truth is somewhere in the middle. He could have made some better selections. He could have made some better line-ups in a couple of matches (this included). But hell he couldn't have glued this team together better than anyone. Whoever comes the Skibbe chapter will be held in our players' memories for the near future because he was one of the men responsible for this turnover. Sadly this turnover will not be completed. The future looks bright with Donis Stafylidis(if he decides to step up his career and go to a team that respects him and doesn't ditch him because he wanted a big club signing) Retsos Pelkas Fortounis Manolas and Sokratis and of course Mitroglou will all be here in the next Euro and World Cup maybe. Our lack of decent holding midfielders since the Karagounis and Katsouranis duo is ridiculously visible 3 years after their exit from the NT. And yet 2 years before that you were all crying for Santos to Start promising Tachtsidis, talented Fetfatzidis. Where are they now? This defeat is not because of the coach. Cry all u want about Skibbe but Mourinho comming wouldn't prevent these brutal mistakes. For this defeat only the players can be held accountable. Sure. We could have had someone else over Tziolis in the midfield and obviously Bakakis over Maniatis but how much different would the team look. I tell u not a bit. We went there having shat our pants. We treated this match as the "match of our life" and that's what you get a 50/50 , either kill or be killed. Croatia is not even close to as good as the score indicates. To be fair, and call me m@!@k@ I find it more possible for us to win them 3-0 in Athens than conceding 4 to them. Nothing worked tonight. You people wanna blame Skibbe ? Tzavellas ? Maniatis ? Im sorta with u. But nothing went our wa. Karnezis mistake and conceding 3 in one half is really something none of u expected and even Skibbe didn't think his team could concede almost as much as they did in 10 games total. The abscences also were a factor. If Toro was healthy we wouldn't see Maniatis there who was exposed totally by Perisic and we conceded 2 goals from his side. I'd like a win in the next match. This team has honestly not played that bad and made so many mistakes in one match since 2010 that I started following consistently (haven't missed a match since then to be honest).
