I am not on the inside and know no stories about Michel and the rest. But, my sense is that the team is doing well with transfers. Not that we did bad with Arnesen of course. But I feel both of them did good job. And those ARD that want to criticize Michel, why they don't criticize Savvidis for bringing 31-year old Khacheridi? Yes, that's what I thought...

Mauricio was/is openly criticized by our football experts (Raptopoulos) but I think he is crucial for our midfield. I don't believe Charisis is anywhere close to the abilities of Mauricio. And I sincerely believe that the more he plays, the more he will show this year.

Very true. But we have to be objective guys. Basel played a shitty game, we had the possession etc, but what about big chances? They had two, one in the 12th minute and one in the stoppage time of the first half and we had one similar with Limnios. Those were clear cut chances. PAOK γερά!!!!!!!

Maybe it's better this way. They have to really play to their limits to secure a good result in Basel. But this shows the quality of Basel. In a game that they played horribly and PAOK did well, they managed to escape with a 2-1 loss. Not bad at all. For us, I think this 2-1 will make us work really hard to make it to the next round. Let's hope we will make it. Not sure if Basel can do miracles and change their form in a week (maybe some injured players will be ready also), but I think this will be a very open game to any result. Big test for PAOK.

Goalkeeper is a difficult story. Lately I am concerned if Pashalakis will continue to improve. It's really important to have a solid GK and know that he will always be there. For some reason I doubt Pashalakis will actually play the entire year as a starter.

Varela is injured and we almost had heart attacks. The same will happen if Prijovic or Vieirinha get injured. For God's sake, do something over there! Protect the team. Money is not the issue, supposedly. Just do those transfers we need so bad!

He is 32 pash. No way a team from the big leagues is offering him a 3-year contract. I think we are offering something between 1,5 and 2 million per year. The only teams one who could compete such an offer are located east from Greece.

So, the story is, we hope to get lucky and eliminate Basel. Then, in August, when most of the teams sign the players they want, if names such as Wernblum don't find a better team/offer, they will be signing with us. Let's hope the plan will work, otherwise we can suffer a huge wound if European games don't go as we wish.

That's true Christo, but the thing is if we want to get to CL group stages, we have to do something different than last year. Last year we brought El Kaddouri, Vieirinha, Mauricio, and Zambrano the last days of August. If we bring the players we need late August, they won't be playing for CL qualifiers. And for midfielder I understand it might be hard. But for LB? Plus I don't like the fact it takes for ever to figure what they are going to do with the extra players. Now they are saying we will be keeping Warda. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually goes. Same with Charisis. It's too many things going on. I didn't like that Djalma left, but at least this happened fast. It's good to know what the team will be. And also CF is a big problem. Lucescu tries Mystakidis, but I think he will be loaned as well. Koulouris left already. If last minute Prijovic gets a great offer, what are we going to do? Then we will need two forwards. At least now we need only one.

OK, we accept the fact there will be no transfers before Basel. However the team needs to plan seriously the next moves. LB, DM, and CF are still missing.

For me it's sad to see Crespo and Canas starting against Basel. We are looking for a defender and midfielder for a year now, we got a defender who needs time and no midfielder yet. Plus there is no real LB in the roster. I like Vieirinha being there, but there is no other option. If we don't get a real LB it's another suicide. Leovac, Azevedo left and we got none. Besides still having Leveque. And if Vieirinha needs to be subbed, then Kitsiou or Crespo will have to play there. Quite sad.
