If the Albanians want to show they are Albanians why they don't go play for Albania?
-
I would have never seen that.
-
Hahaha. Iran is a worse team than Greece, it's OK for them to get super excited.
-
Who knows, maybe the Brazilian guy will be a starter very soon. Is he a winger or center forward really?
-
That's true. Wingers is the easiest position to find good players. And to add, we got past Rodrigues as well.
-
If we were Porto or Benfica it would be another day at work to spend 5 million for an allegedly Brazilian wonderkid. If Savvidis is in the mood to spend such money, good for us. And obviously this kid is supposed to play a couple years for us and then sell them for way more, right? I am more concerned to find an amazing midfielder. Savvidis has to show his money for that transfer. Since we already got Khacheridi this is the other position we need to spend some real money. And then of course for Prijovic's replacement if he end up going.

Great game by Iran vs Spain. I really loved their passion!

I will be in Vermont the whole July and probably not able to watch the game. I will try to record and watch it later. Never done it.

I cannot believe I am going to say it, but I am actually sad to see Djalma leaving. He is so much different than every other winger we have. I would love for him to stay, but I guess it's for everyone's benefit to go. Good luck to him!
-
And I guess Jaba -if for real is ours- didn't come to be loaned out...
-
5 million??? I cannot believe that amount? Prijovic came for 1.9 million!!!!

Another big advantage for us is that we will keep almost the same team from last year. This almost never happened in recent years. And for those qualifying matches we usually had a new coach plus a new team by 7/11. This year we go with the same coach and probably 7/11 will be the same that played against AEK for the Cup. Only the center forward and Khacheridi will be for sure the new ones plus one or two more changes for tactical reasons. Pashalakis, Matos, Varela (or Crespo), Vieirinha, Mauricio, Pelkas, Djalma or Biseswar will be probably starting against Basel and if Wernbloom drags for a month then I can see Canas or Shakhov starting as well.
-
He came in a turbulent time for us. We wasted even Berbatov at that time. All Savvidis' years before last year were quite unsuccessful because of poor choices. The truth is that he brought some quality players, but it was never consistent.

jvc in this forum you represent a big club, show some respect to Panathinaikos and chill out.
-
Both Ajax and Basel are way bigger teams than PAOK. They have so many Champions League appearances and we have none. Of course the one who progresses will be the one who is in better shape at the moment. I hope Lucescu can show some quality. This is the year he will have to prove himself. Budget-wise I am not sure that Basel will have a huge difference from ours. The point is to have the team ready for those games. I would prefer Ajax, but Basel it is. Good luck to the team and let's hope they will give us something to celebrate in the middle of the summer!
-
PAOK has minimal chances to make it to the groups. We have two rounds of very difficult team. If they wouldn't have stolen the championship probably we would have made it. In other words AEK will face way easier teams to enter the group stage of champions league. Doubtful they will make it because their team is less than ours. But PAOK? We have to eliminate Ajax or Basel and then an even stronger opponent will be waiting. I can't say we have zero chances, but it's not good. I would be satisfied if we just beat the first qualifying round against Ajax or Basel.

jvc Panathinaikos was probably the most successful Greek team in Europe up until 2010. The last eight years you are horrible. Not that history can be erased, just for your information. And every team's problem start from their own people. Tell us about Vardinogiannis family, Alafouzos, Giannakopoulos family, Pateras, Vgenopoulos, about the Paiania training palace, etc. The history proved those families can make peace with Kokkalis, Olympiakos, Marinakis, but not with each other. That's why you are at this point right now.

Last year we signed some great players on the last day of the transfers. Now they are trying to do those moves from the beginning of the summer. That's good. We got Hatcheridi (Zambrano) and we are trying to get Wernbloom (Mauricio). I like that. But unfortunately, if Wernbloom is as good as they say, he wants to keep his options open. The summer is long, we have World Cup, someone might get injured, he might want to keep the possibility open so he can be a last minute transfer for a bigger team than PAOK.
-
jvc if Panathinaikos relegates, he will bring more interest to the Football League or Football League II. See the positive side. Iraklis, Aris, and AEK went already, but still the level is not improved. They need a really BIG team to help those divisions grow and move forward.
-
It was OK, but still not at the level it should have been. Sad, but true.
-
2,5 million would be fine if we had a 25-30% of his next transfer.
-
The question is if he finds a team to pay the salary he has at PAOK and if the team will also offer money to PAOK.

Να παίξει ο άνθρωπος και αν κάποιος δώσει 10 μύρια καλώς να φύγει. Είναι μεγάλη υπόθεση να πουλάς παίχτες.
-
When an experienced player comes I never complain. 50 caps for Ukraine? 10 years at Dynamo Kiev being teammates with Yarmolenko, Shevchenko and the rest great Ukrainians? I am glad he came. I just hope he will want to prove himself after his last not good season according to what it's being written. Pablo Garcia came at his 31. Not that I compare them. Just saying about age. If he is a good player and wants to play good football, 31 is a great age. Great first transfer for the team. And this year we will be having Europe as well, so we certainly need such players.
