  1. And why not. PAOK did not take this game seriously and is paying for it. The way things are going it's more likely we will concede another one.
  2. What a joke of a team showed up at Patra today. Non-existing midfield. Warda, El Kaddouri, Limnios poor. Throw in Biseswar and Jaba to turn this game around.
  3. Big save by Paschalakis. Nice pace to the game by both teams.
  4. Good lineup. Let's get an easy win to secure the qualification , so we can focus on the more serious games coming up. Close to 300 PAOK fans showed up unannounced for the game.
  5. I don't believe it had to come down to our kicker to decide the outcome of the game. I was certain he would miss it, specially after the Eagles called the last minute time out to mess with his mind.

  7. I don't much care that we have to play Tripoli next. What bothers me is that we will not play Olympiakos following their European game against Dinamo Kiev. This whole thing was orchestrated and the beating up of the ref is part of this plan.
  8. I don't really have anything against the 2 leg elimination format. What I hate the most is the groups stage portion and the fact that the draws are manipulated so the big teams don't meet each other until the semifinals. Wouldn't it be nice to see Olympiakos - AEK match up in the first round of the Greek Cup for example?
  9. Rodrigues signed for 9 mil Euro, not 11. We get 1.9 mil from Galatasaray. Let's see how long before they pay us.
  10. Prijo is in Dubai undergoing medical tests and talking to Al Ittihad people. Apparently after he returns to Thessaloniki he will meet with Savvidis. The way I see this is that it is a done deal and only the transfer arrangements are to be ironed out. It will be quite interesting to see how the team reacts. This could be a good chance for Akpom to grab his chance to become our main CF. I think some of the money should be spent on acquiring a good defensive mid. I think that's a bigger issue right now than a Prijo replacement.
  11. Prijo wants to take the Saudi's offer. However the Arabs want to pay the 10 mil in 4 installments, which is enough for PAOK to reject it. I am sure Prijo and most likely his agent will persuade the Arabs to pay the full sum in one installment. In the meantime PAOK gave Prijo 2 days off from practice in order to think it over, but I think he has already made up his mind. The sale will happen in my opinion. Getting a cool 10 mil for a player you paid 1.8 mil for is pretty good return for your money. Hopefully it will be spent wisely in order to solidify the team's roster.
  12. Al Ittihad has announced that it will cover the 10 mil buyout clause for Prijovic and that they will offer him 25 mil for the next 5 years. All that remains to be seen is if Prijovic will accept the offer and move to Saudi Arabia. PAOK no longer really has a say in the matter.
  13. When Tzilos did not give a moufa penalty to Olympiakos in the Xanthi game.
  14. The hypocrites Greek refs voted 42:31 to resume calling Superleague games. Now more than ever do we need foreign refs calling SL games. As for the Tzilos incident, the daily news feeds that come only from the Thomaidis blog now claim that the person that rented the car to travel to Larisa, and whose initials are D.M. has close ties to a vice president of a big football team. The more this drags out and no arrests are made, the more it smells of a cover up.
  15. Olympiakos went to courts to have this SL decision overruled. The court hearing is on January 7. I think the origin al decision will stand and the whole schedule will be pushed by one week.
  16. VS MATCHUP: Panahaiki Patra - P.A.O.K. 17. PAOK truned down 7.5 mil offer for Pelkas from Fenerbahce.
  18. Apparently we have turned down a 2.2 mil offer for Giannoulis from Stade de Rennais. The French team claims thay will counter with a 2.5 mil offer, but George tweeted that he's not for sale.
  19. The anti-PAOK scumbag Thomaidis reports that Greek police have identified the attackers that beat up the ref Tzilos. I am always skeptical about reports, when the announcement precede the actual arrests and convictions.
  20. I think Maccabi might do him some good. I am sure Vladan Ivic will give him ample playing time.
