  2. At this point just sell Warda outright. If not now than in the summer as Athens points out. It's obvious that he will not play for PAOK anymore. At least not under Lucescu, who gave him numerous 2nd chances. Looks like he will be part of the Giannoulis swap. As for Koulouris, it's one thing playing at Atromitos and another at PAOK. At PAOK he will not be a starter.
  3. Big win! We now have 3 home games before we play AEX. Must win all three.
  4. The score should be 5:1 Tripoli. Our midfield and defense are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Paschalakis MVP. Only positive player besides him Biseswar, who also scored a clear goal. As for the refs the Tzilos beating is showing its results.
  5. It appears Canas is injured and will most likely miss the game. Obviously Shakhov will take his place. Let's just hope that him and/or Mauricio don't get injured. My lineup: ------------------ Paschalakis --------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Vieirinha -------- Mauricio -------- Shakhov ------- Jaba --------- Pelkas --------- Biseswar --------------------- Akpom -------------------
  6. I too think Warda is the one that will be sold. I also like the return of Henrique. Th other thing that worries me is that we have not re-signed Varela, Crespo and Biseswar. From what I understand Varela is very unhappy with this situation.
  7. pash I think the team will go for a short term solution (Berg), because of the title race. The youngsters (Akpom, etc.) are long term projects that might not work out.
  8. Could be but at the prospect of not getting anything since in 6 month he can sign for free anywhere, PAOK can work it out with Panathinaikos (such as giving them Mystkidis, Kace etc.). There is no way PAOK will pay 5 mil to Panat6hinaikos. From reports that I heard, the supposed "greek team" clause expired after 2 years. Also it is reported that Al Ain wants 1 mil for the player, and Berg to get a salary of 1.3 mil per season. So at the end we could spend 2.3 to 3 mil plus any possible deal with Panathinaikos (player/cash) to get Berg.
  9. I doubt there is a 5 mil release clause for Berg. I think that's just wishful thinking by Panathinaikos.
  10. Round of 16 results: PAS Giannina - Panionios 1:1 Panahaiki - PAOK 2:1 AO Xanthi - Olympikaos 0:0 Ergotelis - OFI 1:1 Apollon Smyrnis - Atromitos 0:3 AE Larisa - Asteras Tripoli 3:2 Kissamikos - AEK 1:1 PAS Lamia - Panathinaikos Return legs will be played on January 22-24, 2019
  11. Pretty sure there is a clause that we can break the loan in mid-season. I know for a fact that to get Giannoulis before the loan ends PAOK has to pay 70K to Atromitos. BTW, Koulouris with a hat-trick in today's cup game against Apollon Smyrnis.
  12. I think the Berg solution to replace Prijovic is probably the best option at this time, as long as we won't have to spend a lot of the money we will be getting from Al Ittihad. I don't think PAOK and Lucescu are willing to experiment right now with Akpom/Koulouris or players that will need a lot of time to get used to the Greek bourdello called Superleague.
  13. The date for this match will be decided tomorrow. Most likely it will be January 30 or 31.
  14. That's his problem. Should have done his research. Let's just hope PAOK gets the 10 mil by the end of the season. I too believe that he will not last the full 4.5 years that he signed for.
  15. True but it came at a wrong time. And it appears the team is slow to react. Not only as far as Prijo is concerned, but also as far as Wernbloom replacement is concerned. The next 5 games will decide the championship and replacements needed to be here or already on their way. And we know very well that they will nor be here until the end of the month at the earliest. Prijovic basically cashed in and effectively ended his football career at the young age of 29. Good luck and thanks for your services.
  16. Looks like the meeting between Savvidis and Prijovic will not take place as scheduled. This pretty much is confirmation that the only thing that remains are the official announcements about his transfer to Al Ittihad.
  17. After today's fiasco, this game (and the Prijo soap opera) is a big test to see if we have what it takes to win the title.
  18. The team (that includes players, coach and front office) need to take these games seriously. Hopefully this loss will be a lesson that will force the team to make the game on Sunday as a must win game.
  19. Unacceptable to lose to a team such as Panahaiki, making things hard for ourselves down the road.
