It has always been good, especially for a central defender. I have previously wondered in here if he would be better suited to playing as a deep lying play maker. Unfortunately our recent inability to adequately recruit in defence means he is too valuable back there

i am absolutely convinced Michailidis would make a better CDM than a CB. the kid can distribute a ball. whether he has the tank to run in the midfield i don't know but his range of passing is better than most of our mids
