Can I just say: if Pavlenka plays anywhere near this well going forward, we will not miss Kotarski AT ALL. Guy was man of both matches for me.
-
So at least we have conference league secured now. Good step. We have to be a lot better vs the Croatians
-
THEY'LL BE CRYIN ABOUT THIS IN MELBOURNE!
-
The goddamn stream I'm using cut to the other Austrian game and completely missed this goal *(@#VBNY%(*_$@#Y%TB N#(*_%Y WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME

This is a terrible match
-
So Taison can't play and they still keep Balde off. For shame!
-
What can I say? This feels like it's going to happen. Unbelievable amount of money by us, if any of these reports are true (and the reports are all over the place, both for transfer fees and player compensation). My cousin Mitso didn't think it would happen so will feel good to RUB IT IN HIS FACE
-
With this smoldering stare, he might accomplish just that in Brisbane
-
I am actually going to be in Thessaloniki that day and JUST MY LUCK that there will be no fans allowed.
-
PAOK Today is also saying we're looking at Sabi Lokonga, though they seem to think we're looking for two CMs (implying it's not Zafeiris or him, it's Zafeiris plus him). https://www.transfermarkt.us/albert-sambi-lokonga/profil/spieler/381967

Baba gotta sit it out. Pavlenka good. Some nice runs by Kenny. One nice dribble by Konstantelias. Probably should have played Pelkas instead.
-
Some sites are saying we offered 9mm for Zafeiris and were immediately shot down. My guess is they value him at a multiple of that (which I would too). Like I was telling our schoolteacher friend, this would be the first signing I'd actually be excited about this summer. Would be a huge step towards improving the team.
-
Super upsetting this isn't on paramount plus. They seem to always grab rights to only the last qualifiers or something. I guess it's time to sail the high seas.
-
This was a home match for Rijeka too. Huge slap in the face.
-
Holy smokes get Noor 1 over there ASAP!

^ oh yeah your love of him is inspirational Anyway, there have been a few non-updates re: Giakoumakis. Some sources say we will pay all his salary, some just a part. One earlier said we were going back to Cruz Azul to offer to pay more of his salary for a smaller buy-out next year. This one is a bit more middle-of-the-road. I think, though, if we can only make updates to our list up to 24 hours in advance, then we basically have less than a day to get this deal done and the player to Greece (a direct flight from Mexico City to Athens, if it even exists, would probably be 12-14 hours). https://inpaok.com/870863/romano-o-paok-esteile-episimi-protasi-gia-giakoumaki/ Are we able to update that list after the Wolfsberger games, I wonder? We also continue to be linked with some other Slavic forwards, maybe it's nonsense, maybe they're plan Bs (and Cs and Ds). https://inpaok.com/870850/paok-kai-panathinaikos-gia-stoulits/

The team sold 18,526 season tickets, as per their instagram post. Nice.
-
I sure hope they can't; would love to see a reckoning a la the big Turkish teams. My uncle mitso told me that we can't spend money because Savvidis is under sanctions and can't move the money to Cyprus. Nonsense. The team has bank accounts in Greece. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt before, but now I think we're just clowning around.
-
So we couldn't have afforded him, but AEK had a more compelling case? Frigging AEK?
-
Just want to point out that the team they're building has a rather interesting mix of players and nationalities: https://www.transfermarkt.com/paok-thessaloniki-b/kader/verein/91869/plus/0/galerie/0?saison_id=2025 Karel Mustmaa's transfermarkt picture is...not the best hahaha
-
It's right that his time with the team is over, but man I ended up liking him so much more than I expected. I was pretty pissed off when we hired him. Good luck to him, hopefully he gets another trophy or two in Cyprus.
-
There's rumored to be a buy option, which makes what comes after more of a concern. But who knows, maybe by then we'll have Mythou and Chatzidis as our star duo in a tight 4-4-2
-
SDNA was referencing some "locker room trouble" at his current club as apparently he is massively overpaid, at 275k a month (which came to a head after they got their asses kicked by Seattle, 7-0). That works out to 3.3mm a year. Surely he doesn't expect that kind of salary here?
-
@PaokCT DIDN'T I CALL THIS LIKE TWO MONTHS AGO? https://inpaok.com/870525/o-paok-einai-konta-stin-apoktisi-giakoumaki/

Wondering if Thymianis will be cut this month. I don't think he even played in the friendlies? Eight greeks in list A, which could also be why.
