Faroe Islands-Greece(13 June 2015, Torsvollur, Torshavn)
pash replied to Omonoia9's topic in Greek National Teams
The highest ranked third-placed team gets in automatically. The remaining 8 get into a seeded 2-legged playoff. Right now, it looks like this: Russia (advances automatically) Scotland Hungary Albania Switzerland Ukraine Israel Norway Netherlands If we get in ahead of Hungary, I fancy our chances. Netherlands has a tough group, they might remain in third place. Switzerland is in a weaker group, and is actually tied with Slovenia based on points. We will almost certainly be seeded. -
Kyriakos Papadopoulos ‒ (Now Playing for Lamia)
pash replied to Euro2004's topic in Greek Players Abroad
He's signed with Leverkusen until 2020 -
That is a really good idea. I grew up on the Cape, if you can handle the hoards of tourists then you'll definitely enjoy yourself. Congrats on your son's summer program too, it's a damn good school (to nobody's surprise).

Not a bad time to go. I'm guessing Providence? I'm sure it'll be a blast

Hopefully for most. The above is pretty much the best lineup I can think of. This season can't end fast enough. I'm going to need a lot of emotional support from you this summer, fearless leader.

If he leaves for Wolfsburg, and they start performing very poorly, it will mean that all Greeks are cursed.

What was the conflict between him and them?

Possession? The thing above all that we absolutely cannot handle, is possession.

^ the above-noted interview: http://videa.hu/videok/sport/dhlwseis-athanasiadi-Rrj42rrXwcIkETTE Practically in tears. He's right.

Down 0-1 in the 45th...no surprise there.

How much work has been completed in Qatar? Apart from the work that involves in killing migrant workers, of course.

Well said. Kace is the only player we've had who seems to have been consistent. Klaus, these past few years, plays well for only one half of the season. I like Mak and Pereyra, but the've been just as inconsistent as Klaus. Still not sure why Skondras isn't played often, lately?

Figured I should check and see if Franky-boy has a twitter. No dice, but this result popped up immediately: https://twitter.com/rebeccaarnesen I feel like a creep for posting it but I know Bananas would never have forgiven me if I hadn't. Maybe if we ask nicely she'll try to take a few pictures of whatever paperwork is on his desk, right?

THANK GOD

90th + 2 - Mitso, the farmer who owns the horafi that they are playing on, asks them to leave so that he can plant some corn
-
90th + 1 - a priest streaks across the field

I think you'll be glad I didn't. Down 0-3 in the 90th (at home).

Our U-21 team is playing a friendly vs Slovenia's U-21s, currently 0-0 in the 23rd minute.

I didn't realize Ivic was leaving. Part of the exodus being led by our old TD? Seems to me Salpi's going to follow.

Oly can have him. We can't build for the long term with a guy who should be retiring soon.

As usual, John Oliver tells it much better than any of us could. This one is nearly as good as the FIFA rant he made last year.

Sheriff, I'm quoting this in this thread so I can keep myself in-topic for once. Garcia and Lino need to NOT come back. This has nothing to do with appreciating their passion. The club, as a whole, needs to be dismantled. Whether or not it's done immediately or over the next few years, we need a complete break from the status quo. I said a few days ago that Garcia/Lino should come back as scouts at the most. But the more I think about it, the more I think that's an awful idea. They have no experience doing that...and you can bet our TD already has his own network and connections. They are a pointless addition. We need the vast majority of our places to be given the boot. The guys noted above should form our second string, ideally.

I can't imagine that our new TD signed without at least some assurances from Savvidis in terms of budget/control. Keep in mind that Georgiadis keeps returning because his buddy keeps giving him a job around April. Us fans just need to be patient. Give the guy a full year to lay down the groundwork for a substantially different team. Let him keep the coach that he chooses for at least two years. Then in year three, we can see what the results are. I think that even a gutted PAOK will still make the playoffs next season. We don't have a lot to lose at this point.

I can't even read Spathas' name with without getting pretty angry.
