It looks like the Sabo transfer hasn't happened. Or rather, he's with them, but they didn't pay us. Very strange by them, especially considering that he's apparently played twice this season already (EL games).

Thank God this game is happening before the away leg. If something (say, a few annoying banners) happens in Moscow, our fans would be sure to retaliate.

The more our guys play, the better they will be. There was a big improvement between the two Basel matches, if we get even slightly better over the next two matches, I would feel we have a great chance. That Promes guy isn't going to be gone by the time this match is played. If Spartak is smart, they'll at least hold out through the next one too.

I just wish people would stop claiming we're going to get him. We're too full of Brazilians to make that happen! Anyway, didn't he say like four years ago that he'd "never go to another team in Greece" ??? Hahaha

A funny anecdote I heard before the Cup was that English fans complain that too many foreigners in their league have weakened their own domestic talent. While in comparison, Russians complain that having so few foreigners means their guys don't have to compete as much, so they suffer from poorer development too. As soccer fans, the only constant among us is that we are miserable one way or another.

We're slightly favored for our home game, based on the score tracking app I use. Not as one-sided as the predictions for our home match vs Basel, though. I'm sure if you ask a PAOK fan, they'll say something like "we must score first!" or some other meaningless nonsense.

I know I sound like a broken record, but: If he gets an offer from anywhere else - ANYWHERE else - he'll jump on it. Hell, he'd do it for a fraction of what we're offering.

Wernbloom might be off the table soon, judging by the four-day ultimatum we gave him and Savvidis' Instagram post. This guy really doesn't want to play for us, why are we trying so hard?

To be fair only inpaok has been saying they are looking at another winger. I am totally in favor of Staphylidis. Better than the Romanian guy (who says there's nothing behind the rumors). Even for a loan, since Giannoulis is coming back next year.

Savvidis said 2-3 more transcripts are incoming. So I guess that confirms we'll see yet another winger, as Wernbloom is all but done (they apparently are picky on residences and so that is holding it up).

It's a guaranteed fight if we go. And we definitely will go.

I've noticed that in the past few days too. Lots of positivity, only a few people seemed happy to see him gone. Hopefully a sign of a mutually lucrative future.

Vrakas, from our U17/U20 side, was tried out by Napoli. There's a chance they will buy him, which would be great for him. Since we no longer use Greek players, it would also be great to sell our youth guys to a team like Napoli.

Roma has reportedly made an offer of 35mm EUR for Promes. For that kind of money, surely (or hopefully) Spartak will sell within the next few days.

On the plus side, Biseswar should be there! My guess is that he'll play, though El Kaddouri certainly made a case for himself. There's no reason at all that we can't knock them out. The team will only continue to improve as they get more and more games under their belts. It really pisses me off. Those teams were garbage, and Asteras/Atromitos just completely caved. If we drop any points to them this season I'm gonna strangle a puppy.
