Not sure how I missed this for two years. Youtube recommended this to me while I was watching the Wernbloom interview; brought a tear to my eye. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_Rs3NI4RUc An absolute embarrassment how he'd been treated.

Moulin is going on loan, don't know where yet. He's already left Thessaloniki. This means at midfield we have: Canas, Shakhov, Wernbloom, Mauricio, Charisis. Charisis still likely to go IMO
-
Got to be nonsense. We have no need for him. I think he's an attacking mid though
-
El Kaddouri is very doubtful for this game, got an MRI today. Not a serious injury but will be out a few days. My lineup: --Pashalakis-- --Matos--Varela--Kacheridi--Vieirinha-- --Canas--Mauricio-- --Limnios--Pelkas--Warda-- --Prijovic-- It's wild how much better this team is than the last one to face Benfica.
-
Chievo Verona wanted him, I think someone said 3mm. I'd sell him for that price. He's good but I'd rather some Greeks move up in the pecking order. With Warda starting more often.
-
The big plus with him, is that he hasn't missed any training with his last team - it's just a matter of getting him to the point where Lucescu is happy with his understanding of his system. Akpom should fit in well, he will be much more effective when playing deep than the (much slower) Prijovic is. I bet he'll get subbed in a few times in the first handful of games in the SL.
-
I know very little about him, but isn't he more of a DM than a LB? Also, he's 32. That would be in keeping with the experienced free agent vibe that Michel has, but it would be a tough ask to make him a long-term option for us. Unless we really want to get rid of Canas.

Looks like it's official, kid's moving to Napoli. Joining their Primavera squad. Great accomplishment by him, hopefully he grows to his full potential.

Here's the biggest thing about the Lucescu-era PAOK. Before, we would occasionally beat big teams in the EL...but it would be a thrilling event that would rely on a moment of brilliance from one or two players to get the job done. It was the same thing for the GSL - many games that we should have easily won, would be very tight affairs. Today, though, we don't see that. The team doesn't just try to overpower the opponent with one pacey winger or a good striker. They play with a system, attacking at the right time, defending at the right time. The team reacts quickly and effectively basically all the time, and even when they're down a goal, they don't panic. This, for me, is Lucescu's biggest achievement (even if you could say that Ivic had them playing similarly during his hot streak).

Here's the list, no changes: Γλύκος, Ρέι, Πασχαλάκης, Σιαμπάνης, Βαρέλα, Κρέσπο, Χατσερίδης, Μαλεζάς, Μάτος, Κίτσιου, Βιεϊρίνια, Λύρατζης, Κάνιας, Χαρίσης, Σάχοφ, Μαουρίσιο, Πέλκας, Ελ Καντουρί, Μπίσεσβαρ, Λημνιός, Λάμπρου, Ζαμπά, Ουάρντα, Ακπόμ, Πρίγιοβιτς Wernbloom hasn't played in like four months, I don't expect him to make any appearances any time soon.

Mihojevic is getting ready to head to Crete, joining OFI as previously mentioned Here is Wernbloom's first pic:
-
Yeah, but isn't Wernbloom too? Lucescu seems to like the 2-CM system. I still have a suspicion that he'll try switching us to a 4-4-2 eventually, with no DMs at all. I guess we'll see!
-
Lino would not have made this squad; he was in his last year when we last faced Benfica, wasn't he? Glykos, maybe. The team clearly hates him, but had he not gotten injured, who knows what might have happened. Stoch - especially back then - is better than any of the wingers we have today.
-
Moulin hasn't played for the same reason Charisis hasn't. Lucescu has two midfielders he will always start, and one that he will throw on as a sub (Shakhov). I don't see that changing for the foreseeable future. Moulin seemed pretty good from what very little I saw, but there's absolutely no reason to keep him now. Release or sell him, and loan out Charisis - assuming Wernbloom passes his medical. Poor Apkom, came here to play with his buddy and now the guy's out. I just hope we don't terminate Charisis' contract. As for Shakhov/Canas - there is a small chance we'll sell Canas sooner than later, if the rumors at the beginning of the season were true. Personally wouldn't be surprised if we extend Shakhov, I think we can make some money off him in the future.

He's in Thessaloniki now...
-
How dare you. The Russians are STRONG like BEARS.
-
Spartak wants Kacheridi and PAOK punished because the player had the Ukrainian colors on his shin guards. We should probably be banned from the CL and Spartak should take our place.
-
I definitely saw those posts, took me way too long to realize that's who it was about. I'm like siga re, Wernbloom don't give two shits about or the frigging Ponts
-
Honestly, if the team wants to really blow my mind, they'd get Stafylidis on a one-year loan. I know he's on the last year of his contract, but him extending with his current club and then coming here for this season would be perfect for us (at least until Giannoulis is available next year).
-
Savvidis apparently had some solid hot takes after the game too, at least according to inPAOK. Guy loves talking s%$#!.
-
Was that the part when he said that no Russian journalists were actually asking questions about football? I laughed out loud at that
-
I like both those guys. What gives me hope is that Lucescu said last year that he basically doesn't believe in playing a DM. The only reason Canas is there, is because he came back after whatshisface's injury and performed well. The moment he dips, expect Shakhov to start playing. Personally, I think Charisis has the best attributes of both Shakhov and Mauricio. He just needs to get a run in. Really, really good player.
-
I'm watching the press conference now. The Russians are pretty butthurt. Favorite part so far: Russian journalist says we didn't see good football today and asks if Lucescu had ordered our GK to waste time from the beginning. Lucescu's response: "Maybe you think we didn't see good football today because your team lost."
-
I'm hearing that Wernbloom is a done deal (yet again). Hopefully we offered him much less than we did before. Doubt it though; we always get played for suckers.
