I agree with this. While I agree that investment in a product should will lead to both a better product and more revenue, what the government is doing is not investment. This is a move to gain control of the league, while the individual teams will continue to do what they always have. This cycle is not going to end here; we'll be having this same conversation next year, the next, and the next after that. This might change if accountability is restored and additional outside pressure/forces come in. Such as, opening up club ownership to outside investors. Wasn't a group from Spain interested in one of those Asteras/Atromitos teams a while back? Get some professionals in there, stop with the crooks who already have their hands in every pie. Also, I have seen absolutely no progress in regards to security at these stadiums. If Savvidis wants to show himself as something better than his peers, then he can make Toumba the safest stadium in Greece. Any monkey who's watched a sporting event outside of the Balkans could figure this out. Instead, we get radio silence and then fines every match day.

El Kaddouri, I'm not *as* worried about. Lucescu has shown himself very capable of surprising us with winger selections, so who knows. Crespo, though, makes me VERY nervous. He looked decent against Basel, but Basel were also garbage.

We can have up to five non-EU nationals on the team. That is why Lucescu would only pick one of Warda and Henrique (and why Mihojevic is being loaned out). Jaba got in because there is a loophole for players that are under 20 (or was it 21?), that says that they don't count against the cap unless the team already has X number of foreigners in the squad chosen on game day. I might be a bit off on that part. Regrdless, if we wanted Natcho, someone would have to leave.

If we were going to make an offer, it would have had to be at the beginning of the preseason. Remember, Natcho does not count as a domestic player. Once we hired Jaba and decided to keep one of Henrique or Warda, Natcho became a non-starter.

I don't see how he isn't fit. He's been training with the team since like the day before the last game (vs what some of the sites have been saying, that he's missed three weeks of training).
