Why would you think that? He got signed by Everton at a young age. Lost his form did well in Denmark, went back to Greece and killed it being one of the top scorers in the league with a very average to bad Iraklis team. Then went back to England in the second division for Nottingham Forest and has been scoring belters. I'd say he can go another level and do more. Vellios is not garbage. I think you over exagerated.

Is Diamantakos injured still? I say give him a chance at LW. It's only fair because Gianniotas and Bakasetas have been given chances. We've got too many strikers in Mitroglou, Karelis and Vellios. I also know Diamantakos would do well at LW.

The last time he started was against Poland in a friendly in 2015. Unless your talking about when was the last game he contributed and played well.

We can still use him in the team. Thats why i said he needs time. It didnt click for Mitroglou, Mantalos and Stafylidis in their first few games. Look at them now they are important players for us. Thats just an example. Players like Ninis and Fetfatzidis are players i would like to see back in the team. Maybe drop Diamantakos and Petsos so they (Diamantakos and Petsos) can get the idea of "we were picked but were not needed", and make a point for their clubs teams to strive and get back in the national team. By doing this it makes both Petsos and Diamantakos more eager and lift the bar to play well. We all know they are the very last options in the starting 11.

Thats good to hear that Ninis and Karelis played well. Also i agree about Bakasetas he needs more time.

Karelis is in top form. I hope he brings this form to the National Team. I wish he could be a better passer of the ball creative with the ball like Ninis or Fortounis. He has got the touch, he has got the finish and good strength. He has got similar traits to Rooney but not as technically good or passer.

I think Skibbe will keep the same team again. Samaris should be back next week. I hope Tachtsidis is chosen again and we don't see Tziolis on the 23 man list. I'd prefer Maniatis but even he should not play.

I agree. But that formation I put up could be a formation we could use if we need a goal. Gianniotas can play LW. If we want to play with players in support when we are on the counter it's good to have 2 strikers waiting up there to receive and make runs.

I'd like to see Mitroglou and Karelis starting upfront together with Fortounis behind them as a number 10. Karnezis Torosidis Manolas Sokratis Stafylidis Samaris Mantalos Gianniotas Fortounis Mitroglou Karelis By having 2 strikers it's easy for our midfielders to have more options. Also we got Fortounis doing most of the midfield work with Samaris supporting him. Plus we got wingers in support aswell, this is a very attacking style of football.

There some players from Asteras we should look into. Kaltsas looks like a good player and I believe Tsilianidis is the future.

Karelis is not good enough on the wing. Much better as a striker or second striker. Gianniotas can go LW I wouldn't mind seeing Bakasetas there again but we need other alternatives.

You can't call Koutroubis because we are stacked in the CB position. But we lack depth on the wings. Platellas might be a good inclusion to the team. I believe the LW spot is up for grabs.

Platellas is a good player. But the problem is he is short. I agree but if he keeps going like this he should be called up.

Fortounis is more vital to the team than Mantalos. But Mantalos is needed in the team.

Koutroubis can't be given time when we have Sokratis, Manolas, Kyriakos and Oikonomou.

Bakasetas needs more time. I believe he can play defensive mid. He has got a good shot on him and is strong on the ball. I saw the repeat of Asteras Tripolis vs PAOK just to see how Kourbelis played. He is far more useful than Tziolis and can play both CB and DM. Also I saw Tsoukalas. He is a strong player and has good touches. Ioannidis is a player to look out for also Koulouris played well.

Has Charisis been playing or is he injured. What about Pelkas?

Does know how Charisis is doing? What about Pelkas? he was vital in our only Euro Qualifying win against Hungary.

Papadopoulos can get away with it more than Holebas because he is younger, hungrier and more ambitious.

Does anyone have suggestions? Petsos could be the answer or maybe Mantalos. I'd still have Maniatis and Tzavellas as squad players and that's it. Even Tziolis but he would be my very last option. I thinks it good to have these 3 players in the team because it gives the younger players more of a drive to improve and progress and by having the 3 older players in team it gives the team some experience and balance.

The players that I would have in my team and start every time are Sokratis, Samaris, Kyriakos and Fortounis. Mitroglou and Manolas too but they both can be lost and be liabilities but they would definitely be in the 11. So far Mantalos is doing really well but is the RW position limiting his full potential? Also the left flank is a problem. Stafylidis and Bakasetas should be given more chances. My big problem is as much as I appreciate Maniatis work off the ball I can't stand it when he has the ball at his feet. There is no ambition it's just pass and stop and he hasn't got the vision either. I think we should find a replacement for him. We need a player who has his work rate, speed, defensive work and will to run all day. But also need a player who has the vision and creativity of a Fortounis and Tachtsidis. If I was coach this would be my objective. Someone like Karagounis would be a good example. Siopis and Kourbelis I don't know much about them. Maybe we put Stafylidis as a replacement. Even though I like to see Samaris and Tachtsidis start together I thinks it better for the team that one of them start and another one next to either Samaris and Tachtsidis to do the dog work but aswell have the technical ability and creativity.
