  1. Well well, that was quick. Still hunting around for a link.
  2. No idea regarding streams. Tha katso edo san m#$%!s me tin boutsa sto xeri, mia ora to prio ke perimeno ...
  3. We will see. This comes down to the mentality of the squad, how many players in the squad we have that want to win each and every game. We've always had a squad that lifts for the derbies and European games, but when it comes to the league they've always just fizzled out quite early. I'm hoping new additions like Matos, Varela, Canas are mentally "tough" and this resonates through the squad. Like I said, we will see.
  4. And just like that Villa put in 2 goals to take the lead.
  5. He just scored his first goal for Forest. And what a cracker it was.
  6. Not sure how Matos attacks as a LB as opposed to a RB, but if playing there decreases his attacking game, I'd be inclined to leave him on the right. His attacks have been very very good so far. We could even play Korovesis on the left if it comes to it. Korovesis seems to be a fairly versatile player.
  7. History should be the first thing taught at school, after being able to read and write at a rudimentary level. It's without a doubt in my mind the most important subject. The problem is ... the teaching of it. 1) I've found that most people (myself included) aren't really interested in history until after you leave high school. As we get older I think the appreciation for history increases by a large degree, but by that stage you're out of school. 2) What do you teach ? Do you do as most countries do now and try to "teach" predominantly their own history, or do you teach world history to get a more holistic picture ? 3) Will it need to be sanitised so that children don't freak out ? If so, how so ? 4) The politics of history. Trying to come up with a version that everyone agrees with can be problematic, because well, there are people out their that aren't interested in the truth. 5) It's value vs say practical subjects like mathematics. What can you do with history other than become a teacher of it ? It's not "practical". But to that I say, imagine if we took it to a hypothetical extreme and deliberately forgot all of our history, because it's not "practical". What a tragedy that would be! The important thing in my mind is to teach and make people understand (again, at what age do you begin and with what content) that the history of mankind has been one of struggle, wars, tyranny (man this is sounding bleak, get the children out of the room) but for the most part, with each "epoch" the standard of living and freedom overall, has been increasing. To make people appreciate what is was like before, what it's like now, and to use that to inspire them to make tomorrow better.
  8. Should just stick with Laola1. At least they were reliable.
  9. Seriously, just enable the feature. Not being able to see who has liked a post is a pain in the ass.
  10. Exactamundo. Karagounis had many great qualities as a player, but his best was that he didn't give away the ball cheaply. He could hold onto it, he could shield it, he would get the foul if required. Either way, the opposition didn't get the ball easily. I remember hearing a statistic on Karagounis (never confirmed it) that he was the most fouled player in the CL one particular season. This is back when PAO had a killer team before he left for Inter. The important thing is, that if as a player you have confidence in your team mate, you will make different decisions. Pretend for a moment you are playing and you have the ball. Karagounis makes himself available. What do you do ? You pass it! Because you know he will more often than not not lose possession. Done. Easy. Now let's say you're in the same situation and it's a different player. You think "man, sometimes he does some really silly things with the ball" and you're unsure of whether to pass it or not. You delay 1/10th of a second thinking about this. Oh what! You've been tackled and lost possession, or you didn't make the pass and instead went for a more difficult pass, and lost possession that way. Either way, if a player compensates for a team mate (as I suppose they should) it affects the flow of the game.
  11. True enough, he did come back from his injury which was a terrible one, and he continued to play at a top club in a top league for many years. But I don't think he was ever quite the same player. It's subjective and it's just my opinion, but when he was in the Serie A before his first major injury, he was downright scary. I mean, you could see the fear in the faces of the opposition defenders as they were resorting to just kicking him and often even that didn't work. Ah, I miss the Serie A of those days. Back on topic, good luck to KP. I hope he can overcome his injuries and become an integral part of the NT. Lord knows we need him.
  12. Maybe he thinks he has a strong hand ? Maybe he has an ace up the sleeve we don't know about ? Maybe the way things run in Greece is so ingrained in him that he knows no other way ? Or just maybe, he's an idiot. ;)
  13. Agree, good choice. Congratulations pash, your plans for world domination are in full swing.
  14. All depends on what Vasquez is on right now and his ability. If the management is confident he is a considerable upgrade over Klaus and will be a striker who can score lots of goals, he's worth the 900K. If they're unsure, then it just sounds like a panic buy.
  15. It was me that liked your post. ;) I agree though, I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug.
  16. In that case, I hope Mama Baba turns out to be better than Jairo. We haven't really had any players of note come to us on loan and do well.
  17. Ah, that peponi kefala of his. We should not have signed him based on that alone. Must have scared a lot of children.
  18. I'd actually throw in Jairo instead of Campos. Jairo is not one for consistency, but he can have games where he just absolutely tears up the flank. I could see him destroying Tbilisi, and it'll let Campos have a rest. Campos looked very flat last match.
  19. Not sure why everyone has preordained the demise of Olympiakos. Do they seem weaker than last year and previous seasons ? Yes. But they've had a "bad run" of 3 games now. AEK, PAO, PAOK have had plenty of those in previous seasons. Regarding Olympiakos, which team below say 6th can take points off them ? So as bad as they seem to be I still think they're favourites to win until proven otherwise. It's really to early to say. And so for AEK, PAO, PAOK it's their job to stop dropping silly points to mediocre teams and actually create a proper title race. Let's see how the first 8 or so rounds go and then we'll get a better idea of where each team is at. That's assuming of course the season actually begins this year. Also, remember that depth comes into it in the latter half of the season, and I know AEK suffered towards the later rounds and in the play-offs due to injuries and fatigue. It's not just how you play during a particular round, but across the entire season. Having said all that I will be ecstatic if someone other than EPO/Marinakis/Olympiakos won the title, just for a change and if so, I'll be sending Marinakis a big box of donuts to fill the void within him at losing the title. I just haven't decided yet on how many donuts. Any ideas ?
  20. Please please please let it be so. Only so I can see the reaction from Amorgos!
  21. I gotta say, this made me laugh. :)
