  1. I could get used to this.
  2. LOL, you just hate everything about PAOK. They are over the border of that imaginary demarcation line you've created in your imagination. If anything, Savvidis is one of the more civilized presidents in the GSL. If he was a president of a team from Athens or Peloponisso you'd be calling him a gentleman.
  3. I was sleeping. Having a pleasant dream of me walking through fields and fields of ripe bananas. And then, this vagabond (see avatar) came into the fields and told me AEK beat PAOK. And thus my pleasant dream ended.
  4. Vellidis must be only 1/3 as good as Olsen since he's on 1/3 the money. The irony. Too many examples like this.
  5. I'd be surprised if Mak is with us next season. He's definitely capable of playing at a higher level, and unlike say Lucas who was lazy and unmotivated with us, Mak generally gives it his all and is fairly consistent.
  6. I'd be surprised if he didn't start against AEK. In fact if I was Arnesen, I'd question Tudor if he didn't. You asked for a GK, I got you a GK. Now play him.
  7. Is this all just hyperbole ? When immigrants from Europe (read non British or Scandinavian) came to Australia in the 50's and 60's, the end of the world nigh. Then the Vietnamese in the 70's and 80's. Then the Afghanis, Indians and Sudanese. Common theme ? All from broken or dysfunctional countries. As for the elites, who they are and what they want, I wouldn't know. I've never met one.
  8. I've always thought that the way Demi was treated was disgraceful. Great player, great club man, the best. As for seeing if the government can or wants to do the job or not, time will tell. The point I was trying to make was that I find it surprising the clubs themselves don't clear out the trash. Year after year after year, the clubs pay fines, and lose more revenue due to playing games without fans. And yet, they still want these prezonia in their stadium ? Truly odd. I've got nothing against the average fan in Greece and I love the electric atmosphere during the derbies, but when you start throwing objects onto the ground or storm the pitch, hey, you've crossed the line. Having said that, I gotta say if someone had thrown something onto Marinakis when he walked onto Leoforos, that would've been pretty cool.
  9. Reaper, I get what you're saying about prosecuting the offender ... or the lack thereof. However, even if (as we fully expect) the judicial system doesn't do the job, the big question is, why do the clubs allow these individuals back into the stadium ? Why are the clubs themselves so enamoured with these "hooligans" ? The clubs can if they want to slowly get rid of the trouble makers who I am sure are in the minority. But they choose not to, and for the life of me, I can't see why. If the clubs are waiting for the government to help, they'll be waiting a while. Better to take charge of your own house and get it in order I say. Like I said, Greece, making the achievable impossible.
  10. Going back a way there Tzatziki. What next, Electric Avenue ?
  11. Good lord, I just watched the highlights. On another day, Xanthi could have been 4-0 in the first 20 minutes.
  12. For some really strange reason, Greece makes the simple difficult and the achievable impossible. Allocated seating where ID is required and cameras all over the place to catch culprits would end all this. Individuals could be identified and at the very least, not allowed into stadiums again. Instead, because this is apparently too hard to achieve, the EPO and government take the easier road of blaming and fining the clubs and gates. How many people threw the lighter on the weekend ? One. So go get him. Why should Olympiakos or any club for that matter pay for the stupidity of individual fans.
  13. Sounds like Xanthi had more than enough chances to deserve a draw. One of these days, our team will learn to play away from Toumba and get results ... or not.
  14. Compared to the rabble GK's we've had in the last few years, he was quite decent. Keep in mind too he was there in the bad old days when it was a small miracle if the players were paid on time.
  15. The only thing that will save Tziolis at CB is the fact the Charisis and Cimirot are in front of him providing cover.
  16. Looks like Vellidis is going to be our new GK. http://www.sport24.gr/football/omades/Paok/ston-paok-o-vellidhs-gia-2-5-xronia.3867208.html I really hope this works out. The GK position has been a roller coaster ride the last few years. It would be nice to get a GK that we are happy with and actually stays with the team for more than one season.
  17. Can't see how or why PAS would loan him to us, with an option to buy. If he's much better than Glykos, then he's worth the 500K. I wouldn't blink twice at that figure considering what we've paid for some other players. As for Tudor and Olsen, it seems unprofessional but maybe it's a tactic (agreed to by everyone behind the scenes) to try and "encourage" him to find a new club ?
  18. It's out of him and some other GK. Not sure who was/is first in the pecking order.
  19. What about Ogre Palowaski ? I really enjoyed seeing him as your avatar. ;)
  20. Don't get too cocky there Mr. Amorgos. Do you remember last time we had a bet what happened ....
  21. Assuming this Vellidis story is the real deal, what does everyone think about this signing ? I don't know much about him. If we signed him, do you think he'd be ahead of Glykos in the pecking order ?
