  1. Don't necessarily think so. I think he's just giving Charisis a rest since he hasn't been match fit. Was that PAS Giannina's first attempt on goal ?
  2. And to think, we are only 5 points ahead of PAS Giannina on the ladder.
  3. Since the first goal Jairo has been very lively. Could have had another 3 assists if our finishing was better.
  4. Man, Charisis has got a shot on him. Great goal.
  5. Agree, Charisis has been impressive. Speaking of which, what the heck has happened to Korovesis ?
  6. Overall, a very good first half. Team was energetic and created lots of half chances. Hopefully they come out in the second half playing the same, and don't fall back into that pattern of thinking the game is already won. Oh my, by predicting the future I've already altered it, or have I ?
  7. Nice goal. Fair reward for our general play. Nice work by Jairo who had been kind of quiet up till then.
  8. The problem is that for some unknown reason we aren't fixing the most critical problems in the squad. Since the mid point of last season until now, our defense has been woeful, and I mean woeful. A rudimentary look at the results for the last year would tell you in 5 minutes that there is something wrong with the defense. So why isn't that the top priority ? Now as to how to fix the defense is a different issue, but that should be the top priority. We will never progress while we are consistently conceding cheap goals from small teams. Granted, you will sometimes have the odd game where things just go pear shaped and you concede goals, but in our case, it's every second game. This is what Tudor should be fixated on, and you'd think that as a former class defender, he'd realise that. Instead, Tudor is fixated on a player that will "make the difference". Guess what, he has them in Mak and Rodrigues. That's all PAOK has. Heaven help us if either of those two get injured or sold.
  9. RS, we'd still be in the EU in theory unless they got vindictive. And NATO also. The only difference would be Greece would control its own currency again and could inflate if necessary to devalue. Also, Greece would have control over its rate of interest from its Central Bank. I see no benefit whatsoever in staying within the current Euro structure. Greece got suckered in by the promise of handouts which they duly received and wasted. I don't think the EU cared what was done with the money. They say they do, but I don't really buy it. Now that we're in they have us by the balls. For myself, the proof of how badly they want to control Greecr (or any nation for that matter) is the fact that they haven't booted Greecr out. If any nation deserves to be kicked out of the Euro club, it's Greece. And yet they didn't. This conversation goes around in circles as nauseum. This is the simple truth. They lent money to Greece knowing it was a win win either way. If Greece paid it back, all well and good. If not, take it back through other means. They will get their money back. So the Greeks of yesterday partied and the Greeks of tomorrow will pay.
  10. Go in there wearing a Greece National Team jersey with a ghetto blaster on your shoulder blaring out Greek music demanding more garlic in the tzatziki.
  11. Blasphemy! Tzatziki without garlic ?!
  12. He is on the bench for the team that is on top in the EPL. All it will is an injury or a player out of form and he's starting, in a team that is living the dream. He'll probably make more money in the EPL in one season than he would at PAOK in three. Why on earth would he come to PAOK ? The media should at least make these stories believable.
  13. Out for 6 months. What rotten luck. Gets into the Europa League Team of the Round a couple of weeks back, and now this.
  14. That's the thing. Viewed in isolation they all seem "reasonable". But when you get a pattern like we have, that is ... odd.
  15. Enjoy your Sunday Amerikanakia. I'm off to catch some zees.
  16. Not sure. I'd have to watch a few more games since the times here in the land that does not exist are generally atrocious. As a striker I'd expect him to get in front a bit more and make himself available for a quick one two or to hold the ball up for an instant to allow men to get forward. I didn't see any of that.
  17. It's annoying how in the last 10 minutes our players allow them to get into the box so easily. When it was 0-0 at least in the 2nd half, we were hounding them to get the ball and going for 50-50's. Don't even allow them to get a half chance. Having said that, there was a noticeable step up in intensity in the second half so at least that's something. Skondras and Mystakidis did well on the right. Leovac was quiet. Not awful but not what we expect from a player signed for a million euros. Cimirot and Tziolis were ok in the middle. Up front I fear if Mak gets injured we will be bereft of creativity. Klaus was poor even though he scored. I didn't see him once break away from his marker to get the ball to feet and try to do something. Man of the match Tzavellas, very good game.
