  1. Παίξτε μπάλα ρε κοπρόσκυλα!!!!!!!
  2. Εμείς τους ανασταίνουμε όλους. Α ρε ΠΑΟΚ.
  3. He should have admitted his mistake in the first game but generally I am very happy with him. I hope he stays with us for many years.
  4. What will the new qualification process look like?
  5. Guys, one second. We had Pouggaras, Malezas, Kitsiou and Crespo in defence. I count that as four.
  6. I think tonight made it cleat that had Ivic played the same formation like tonight (4-5-1), it could have been a completely different story. He showed his inexperience by experimenting in a game like that, especially against Schalke. Good game by Warda and Mystakidis. Kitsiou and Djalma were awful today, I have never really rated Kitsiou anyway. Biseswar was also in bad shape when he came on. It seems these players are only good for the games against Platanias and Levadiakos. Good game by Pouggouras too! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Toumpa is our downfall.
  7. @kozi We are playing 4-5-1, dude. Fantastic first half from the boys. If only we had played this formation in Greece it would be another story. Penalty for me on Mystakidis, not on Djalma.
  8. You are talking about mentalities in Greece. Politics, the people of Greece, society etc and I completely agree with you. In order for the successful re-implementation of the drachma, politics and people's mentality would need to change as well. Thing is, I think starting from scratch is the only hope there is of people finally changing.
  9. You are thinking way too short term. The effects of sticking with euro or leaving it are pretty similar in my opinion. Leaving it may be slightly worse IN THE SHORT TERM. However, in the long term things would be much brighter with a new drachma. Some people may ask, "Why doesn't Greece ditch the euro and take on the drachma again then?" One answer is that this would indeed cause chaos. Greece itself would probably have a setback of 20 years or so, while a brain drain would make the country suffer even more (not that many smart people haven't left the country already). The golden answer, however, is that no government would have the courage to take responsibility for the next 15 years of poverty. That's all what it comes down to. The current and past generation having to (unfortunately) suffer now so that their kids and grandchildren will have a better future.
  10. I don't think Lucas is useless. In pretty much every game he has played in for Arsenal, he has either come up with an assist(s) or scored. It is obvious that with Alexis Sanchez in the team, there is no chance of getting much playing time. I think he has chosen his time to complain perfectly as with a lot of fans getting on Wenger's case, he gives them another reason to shout about.
  11. No real link and 2-0 at half time. I think I'll head out for a walk in the sun
  12. On the past three occasions where we have played CL qualifying we should have progressed. Ajax back in 2010 (we missed more chances than some teams have in a whole season), Schalke 2013 (no fans) and Ajax again last summer (again, missed the unmissable). This isn't quite the same now with Schalke this year. As people have already mentioned we played well in the first twenty minutes then dropped.
  13. My questions to you: 1) Do you believe Greece should exit the EU and revert back to the old currency? 2) Why do you think there are a large amount of Greeks who do not want to ditch the EU?
  14. Let's be honest. It is every player's objective to make the national team.
  15. The 3-5-2 resulted in a 0-3 loss at home, if we do it next week in Germany it will be a massacre.
  16. athinaios I have to ask you why you think Greeks think being in Europe is better than going back to the drachma?
  17. ^^ In order for there to be a union, conditions in member states should be the same, if not at least similar. I lived in Germany for just over three years and I can confirm that the life there is so easy. Work is everywhere to be found, there is a good health system, there is multi-cultural society that lives well with each other. Conditions are similar in England as they are in places like the Netherlands and Belgium. The standard of living is high, bureaucracy is low and the environment is generally safe. Here is Italy, it is the complete opposite of Germany. Sure if you have a job then you can live quite comfortably but the conditions are still not the same. Not many people have a normal contract. They are restricted to roll-on year contract, which guarantees no security. The reason for this is, of course, economic as well as the fact that it is very difficult to fire someone in Italy. Bureaucracy here is a joke, it is on par with Greece. So, what we have is a union with various member states who are completely difference culturally, economically and politically. "So let's try and pass EU laws". OK, sure but what if those laws actually make the situation locally much worse? What if a country is already so advanced, introducing this law would slow it down or just be an obstacle? The EU leaves no room for discussion either. Then we have the issue of immigration. Now then, before you forge an image of Athens4 I can tell you that I am of mixed heritage (Greek and English) and that I left the UK four years ago to try and live in different parts of Europe. I love meeting new people and traveling and and and. You get the picture. I find it unacceptable for there to be a union yet populations of member states to feel the need to have to - or even want to - move to either Germany or England. It is understandable as there are many jobs in these countries. But if we were a union then we would ensure that all member states were on the same, if not similar levels. And this just isn't the case. Roll on Brexit and while we are at it bring on Grexit too. It is the only way Greece will see change.
  18. I was born and raised in England but have been living abroad for four years. I was in the middle at the time of the referendum but after experiencing other countries I can understand why the British wanted out. I think it's for the best.
  20. Exactly. He had to do it before the game with Schalke. If he played awful (which is just what happened) people could say 'Oh well at least he refused to accept a part of salary'. If he played well then people would say 'He is back in form AND gifted some of his salary. He is PAOK to the core'. Thankfully not all of us are sheep. Please find another team in the summer and while you are at it guys in the scouting dept., please find us another striker.
